I voted yes to all. They have to exist we cannot be the only living organisms.

For those who would say, "well, why dont they introduce themselves to us," simple answer is, they would have to be far more advanced than ourselves to travel here, and therefore would probably understand the consequences to mankind if they were to introduce themselves.

Well, I voted a triple "don't know"...because there's really know way for us to know for sure.

However, if I was to make an educated guess, I'd say that alien life exists elsewhere. This is based on the fact that the building blocks for life are known to exist elsewhere in the galaxy. Other planets are known to exist. The conditions for the development of life as we know it are rare, but don't seem to be so exclusive as to indicate that Earth is somehow "miraculous" for life's existence. Basically, life seems likely to be rare, but not exclusive to only Earth.

They exist? More tha probable to yes. The universe is too big, and the posibilities too strong to not to be other life forms.

The tech level? If they exist, it will be diverse, raginfg from proto-life to FTL engine -using civilizations.

Have they visited earth? For the moment we had no proof of that.

I wrote why I hold my position in the earlier 'Do Aliens Exist?' thread, and I've voted a tentative 'yes.' We don't know exactly, to be sure, but it certainly seems likely, based off of what we know about at least primitive life on Earth.

As for the second poll, I put 'not sure.' Advanced (multicellular) life is much more fragile than much of the simple cell creatures, so I'm not willing to go out on a limb and vote yes.

I voted 'no' on alien visitation.

thats your opinion and here is mine, earth cant be the only planet that supports life in the whole of the universe thats ridiculous , why cant there be other planets out there with animal life HUH? as that is all what aliens are - animals just like us

The chances of us being the only living things in the universe you could say are none, we left bacteria on the moon, came with probes to mars, and exist is in space, so how can we say that thats how earth became poulated, a astroid comeing from another planet. We could all be aliens to Earth, and if we are we still act like bacteria. We go to a place to start a town, use the natural resources, ect, and then after we have destroyed everything there we move on to the next plot of land.

I'm quite aware of what categorises an alien. And sure, its possible that there are other planets with life, but its just a possibility. Earth very well CAN be the only planet that supports life in the whole universe... that is another possibility. Now, since you have no proof at all of alien existence, you can not say "yes aliens exist" nor can you say "no they do not", you remain unsure of their existence.

Thats not alien, unless you want to also call the astronauts on the ISS aliens... btw, theres no evidence at all that any bacteria survived on the moon nor Mars, if any were deposed.

sure theres a chance there are aliens, just like there is a chance there is a god, there is even a chance that god created the aliens also and chose not to inform us about them. i believe in god, but find no real reason to suspect there is intelligent life on other planets, not saying its impossible, but more improbable.

The Poll question was whether or not we believed that other life existed in the universe, not whether we knew if there was other life. Part of the problem is that, at least in my case, I don't have an absolute 'yes', 'no', or 'don't know' answer - that's why I said it was a tentative yes, because of what we know about the origin of life on Earth.

Like most bacteria Bacillus anthracis (creates the spores in contact with air)needs liquid water and O2 , there is neither on the moon.

No bacteria,live or dead,has ever been found on another moon or planet to this date.
