Saiya-jin Posted October 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Hello everyone! I want to get into meditation and open my third eye but I'm a terrible person and I've done terrible things (can't even say them here) and I eat junk food and drink Coca Cola almost everyday. I smoke 1 pack of cigarettes a day too + weed sometimes. Will that affect my spiritual experience? Can my third eye still be opened? If so, can you please give me some tips or tutorials on how to open it? Because I'm a bit confused. Some people said I should practice while going to sleep, while some said that I should meditate. Bendy Demon Posted October 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2014 The "third eye" is just the pineal gland, you do know that, right? It regulates sleeping patterns and hormones. However it can be mucked up by a poor diet and lousy lifestyle habits so you'd be better off first cleaning up your diet instead of meditating. Your past can only interfere if you haven't come to terms with it and made efforts to move past them by bettering your own self. That needs to be done before any so-called "benefits" can be extracted from meditating. Just saying is all.

I have a vast knowledge about the pineal gland, astral projection, DMT, etc. I was wondering what exactly does one feel / see / learn if their third eye is opened. After I have a clean diet and give up on my habits how can I open the third eye? By meditating, or by sitting on my back before going to sleep? Saiya-jin Posted October 26, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 26, 2014 Smoke some weed and watch this on large screen; Thanks but I doubt it will have any effect on my third eye, haha By the way, last night before going to sleep I did some meditation and focused on my pineal gland. Nothing special really happened besides seeing colors, patterns etc (i am used to that as I practiced astral projection a few years ago). Then I went to sleep. After a few hours i kinda woke up (but didn't open my eyes or moved) and focused on my third eye again. Then suddenly I saw some kind of vortex between my eyes (in the area where the pineal gland is supposed to be) and sleep paralysis kicked in. I don't really remember what happened after that but triggering sleep paralysis just by focusing on my third eye is interesting. Could that be a sign that I'm on the right path? Lumpino Posted October 31, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) With the third eye carefully. Eating junk food and drinking Coca Cola never mind. But, there is another problem. In yoga are two different paths. A path to Moksha = the end of cycle of lives, in this world and in spiritual worlds too. And a path for obtain spiritual powers - siddhis and better life in spiritual worlds. It is advisable to check more original texts of an old eastern authors. No modern western "wannabe experts". Many texts were translated into English. Like Sat chakra nirupana by John Woodroffe (A. Avalon) or Shiva samhita, Gheranda samhita and many others. Those texts are freely on the net. Good to compare is The secret of the golden flower, translantion by Richard Willhelm, a Chinese Taoists spiritual alchemy. But there is The third eye - in yoga chakra Ajna - called "heavenly heart" and chakra Anahata a "fleshly heart". XenoFish Posted November 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2014 If your going to "open" your third eye with meditation, I'd take heed that what your most likely really doing is reinforcing an idea. Chakras (at least to me) are conceptual thought-forms that embodies an idea. The imaginary vortex represents whatever you believe it to. Do enough meditation on it and you might awakens psychic abilities, or become completely delusional. Either way you've succeeded at doing something.
