Wiki shows the update/arrest too

Stan Romanek is an author and UFO enthusiast. He appears in the media, and is a regular speaker at the International UFO Congress, presenting his claim to have been an alien abductee.

On February 14, 2014, the Reporter-Herald in Loveland Colorado reported that Romanek had been arrested on suspicion of distributing child pornography, and is currently in custody.

If anyone doesn't know about this guys claims, one of his most silly was what's called the Boo video, where an alien looks thru his window

Well now we need to wait for further updates etc, but its likely a big nail in his coffin on the ufo circuit - if found guilty. Having the defence he was hacked and images 'planted' wont be a strong defence... anyway, look what I also found, watch carefully and see this idiot 'produce' certain phenomena by flicking pens around etc, anf remember boys and girls, this is one of ufologists big voices - with his own ufo books and merchandise

quote:

"To add to the downfall of the Romanek clan he was recently caught faking ghost activity live on camera. Stan Romanek caught faking on live video!!!! watch yourself its so obvious. He can't back out of this one. LOL busted".

Controversies

In Romanek’s book Messages, he claimed to have received communications from extraterrestrials. He claimed an astronomer interpreted drawings Romanek made under hypnosis of planetary alignments as indicating the date September 21, 2012. (Although this day has come and gone) Romanek said he did not know what the significant event indicated by that date would be, but speculated it would be when the aliens would make themselves known to humanity, or maybe when the visions he has had of natural disasters would occur.

In 2008, Romanek appeared on Larry King Live, along with Jeff Peckman, former Denver Mayoral candidate endorsing Romanek's story as part of his campaign for a Denver Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission,[9] claiming to have recorded a video of an alien peeking in his window.[10] This video is now commonly referred to as the ‘’Boo Video’’.[11]

In May of 2008 during an interview of Romanek on Coast To Coast AM radio, host George Noory suggested that Romanek take a lie detector test over the authenticity of the Boo Video.[12] Romanek agreed to this test. When it was conducted later that year, Romanek failed on the question "Is the Boo tape a hoax?" Romanek then claimed he has medical conditions that prevent a lie detector test from working on him.

At the 2009 Mysteries of the Universe conference in Kansas City, Romanek claimed he was set up by Noory to fail

A video expert consulted by Romanek claimed that the Boo Video would have cost $50,000 to fake. A Denver paranormal claims investigations group Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society / Warning Radio claims to have reproduced the video for about $90.

In 2009 in an interview on ABC Primetime, Romanek said he had physical evidence of his abduction experiences in the way of an alien implant in his leg. When a medical test for the implant was requested, Romanek claimed it had disappeared.

The English actor Danny Dyer meets and interviews Stan Romanek. And inspects the evidence. For more 'evidence'

Stan Romanek shows some of his 'evidence'. If you watch it all you'll see Stans 'agent' wanted $50,000 for copies of the 'evidence'. Yes, 50 grand!

he probably didnt realise the field of view on his camera, thought he could get away with flicking a pen and claiming paranormal behaviour..

SO UFO LOVERS...heres your self proclaimed 'famous abductee' with a strong web presence in the Ufology field,.. author of a few books...who fails polygraphs, cant provide evidence of claimed implant, and peddles in kid porn :td:

eta: 'Allegedly peddles porn', a trial will show guilt or not

No matter what verdict the jury renders, TRUE BELIEVERS will always champion the "the soulless minions of orthodoxy silenced him" argument.

Of course, Lazars dealing with shady brothels, and Romaneks child images...came about...because they themselves were abused...by aliens!! Forced to take them probes over and over again...It makes perfect sense. - poor dears.

I feel nothing but utter disgust and contempt for sick b******* such as this. The only thing that makes this any worse are the followers/believers who turn a blind eye to the atrocities these scum bags do to the innocent.

Just look at the recent Bob Lazar thread where he was touted as a highly qualified science researcher by one of the members here, despite the evidence that paints him as a fraud and a liar who invented his academic qualifications from MIT and Caltech.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

I sure hope people would not be that blind. This sickness affects many people in many areas of life, recently we have seen Jimmy Saville exposed, the Catholic controversy Hey Dad, and even accusations against Rolf Harris. I sure hope we are mature enough to recognise that. People like this simply need to be removed from the gene pool.

Too good from em D. I can't think of a punishment that is fitting, not in a family forum anyway, but that sounds too quick for monsters who inflict long lasting pain. They deserve no less than that which they inflicted. A slow painful existence full of hurt.

The scumbag who killed Daniel Morcombe is going to trial here soon, sad story that, breaks my heart to think about, I am glad he is facing justice, but I don't know if there is any punishment bad enough to fit his crime. Whatever the worst war torture that existed was, he deserves every bit of it. Twice. Then shove a pineapple soaked in kerosene up his clacker. Rough end first.

Far be it from me to defend the indefensible, pedophiles and their ilk should suffer no less than dis-'member'-ment in the slowest and most painful manner possible however we do not know if Romanek is guilty yet do we?

Back in the eighties, UFO "investigator" (and supporter of the Billy Meier case) Wendelle Stevens was also accused and condemned of inappropriate conduct towards a child and he too claimed he had been set up because of his involvement with UFOs.

Yeap. Romanek (no matter how much I hate that kind of "sh!t I made up" breed) might have been a victim of botnet, as already have been the case with M.Fiola.

yes everyone should bear this in mind, and as I said earlier.. so far he is 'alleged' to have done this. I myself have to go to court in 2 weeks for a trial of 'Beating' my neighbour. When I was sent this summons it got my back up, as I had had serious words with my neighbours over a late night disturbance, - now he says I waved my fists in his face and pushed him into a hedge. I asked my solicitor why it wasn't listed as common assault, apparently nowadays that distinction is made in court, but the charge is 'beating' nonetheless

So without knowing the full story, and if I was famous, a charge of 'beating' makes me sound like a violent nutcase. The reality is... well I cant say now as I have a trial coming up
