Snake eats Crocodile after battle

Not sure if this has been posted yet...

A snake has won a lengthy battle with a crocodile in northern Queensland, wrestling it, constricting it and then finally eating it.

The incident at Lake Moondarra, near Mount Isa, was captured on camera by local residents on Sunday.

Luckily I used a knife borrowed from Mick Dundee to cut myself out of the croc and escape, this left the croc wounded and made the conflict a lot easier for the snake. ;)

It seems the snakes are working their way up the taxonomic table:

On Saturday afternoon in a residential suburb north of Brisbane, a possum became dinner for a python, estimated to be more than three metres long.

Nom nom nom.

After finding out the sizes of the creatures, I was not nearly as impressed as I though I would be.

Yes I was expecting some monster snake and a 15 ft croc to be going at it.Still interesting though because I didnt know Australia had Pythons.

I always think it's a bit creepy looking seeing the bulge of the meal inside the snake like that afterwards...eew.

What did I say?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-03-14/family-dog-swallowed-by-python-inside-its-kennel/5321744

A pet dog chained inside a kennel has been swallowed by a large python at Lismore in northern New South Wales.

The owner of the chihuahua-maltese dog discovered the carpet python inside the kennel with a large bulge in its body.

The dog's chain was still hanging from the snake's mouth.

I believe I've earned the right to say "I told you so."

And if I stop posting, perhaps you might like to check for snakes...
