Asda store has Xmas decorations up already

Asda clearly gets a kick out of beating its competition with price cuts and other promotions - but celebrating Christmas in August might be going too far.

Even the staff at the supermarket giant raised their eyebrows when they found a five-foot Christmas tree, complete with crackers, in their office.

The 'Holiday Inn' in Ashford has had a 'Book your Christmas Party' banner outside since Easter!

I had a friend who just kept his Xmas decorations up all year round. Which was not as bad as it sounds cos he only had three, but still.

I have a friend who keeps her small artificial tree up all year. She has ornaments for every other holiday: Valentines, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving. She just updates the ornaments.

I'm usually the one who puts the X-mas decos up for work, but I at least wait til AFTER HALLOWEEN before I think about taking them out of the storage closet! My goodness, wait til the kiddies go back to school before taking the winter stuff out...

Seems like a strange way to do things, unless its specifically for a "get your shopping done early" thing. By already diving into christmas they're jumping over Halloween.

seems like theyd lose business
