An arson fire destroyed of the last buildings left in the sprawling Eloise complex in Westland, which has been called one of the most haunted place in Michigan and used to house a mental asylum.

Firefighters arrived at the Eloise bakery – a vacant building on the outer part of the complex on Michigan Avenue at Merriman – at around 2 p.m., said Wayne-Westland fire Chief Michael Reddy.
