Still Waters Posted April 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Belgium is changing its rules to hand out iodine pills to all of its citizens because of concerns over a potential nuclear disaster. The government's health minister has told the Belgian government to issue everyone within a 100km radius of the country's nuclear power plants with the pills, which help to limit the effect of radiation on the body. Maggie De Block has said the pills for Belgians within a 20km radius should be extended to five times that distance in a distribution that would essentially cover the whole country. http://www.independe...k-a7006651.html

Black Monk Posted April 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) They're not radiation pills. They're candies of multiculturalism. Edited April 30, 2016 by Black Monk
+DieChecker Posted April 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Apparently they're not magic though. http://hps.org/publicinformation/ate/faqs/ki.html So your immune system will still be up when the rest of your body is dying of radiation poisoning.
Crabby Kitten Posted May 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2016 Iodine pills isn't going to protect against nuclear fallout. Radiation will contaminate most food and water.
