The New Owners of Hot Lake Hotel

I'm from La Grande Oregon (lived here my whole life.) and I have had a chance to chat with the new owners and they do not believe that the place is haunted when I have experienced it and so has my family. I know that there was a discussion on the matter 3 years back and I hate to repeat but it just irritates me when people don't listen. They don't even know enough about the actual history to restore it right.

For thoes of you who have no idea what he's talking about, like me lol, here's some info on the place:

Hot Lake Hotel is a hotel built in 1907 in La Grande, Oregon, United States. It was a popular vacation and resting spot due to its relaxing thermal waters. The main building was destroyed by a fire in 1934 down to the brickwork, and it was reconstructed that year and turned into an insane asylum. In 1970, it became a nursing home. It has rumored to been haunted by old vacationers, a gardener who committed suicide, insane people from the building's sanitorium days. When the hotel was originally constructed it acquired a piano formerly owned by Robert E. Lee's wife. The music is rumored to be heard to this very day.

The hotel is part of the Hot Lake Resort, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The property has been re-opened to the public as of May 2007, but visitors are still not allowed inside the main structure.

Sounds like a creepy place. You said that your family and yourself have experienced it ... how so? I'm just curious lol ;) Love this kinda stuff.

Cheers,

Gene

Place has a creepy atmosphere anyways. Crazy ol haunted sanatoriums ... Did you see Death Tunnel ? Based on truth I think, I'm not sure if I dreampt it, but I think I seen a program on Discovery or Mystery about it.

Anyways, I'll have a read of that now. Thanks Barek.

Cheers,

Gene

Heres a new one for the Paranoid Playlist:

I'm starting to wonder if some details in my photo enhancements are somehow thought forms that I am unwittingly projecting into my (home-made) PC? ....every time I tweek one of these a little more am I adding some TK details?.... OR is my computer haunted? :o .....am I unintentionally adding *cyber-plasm to some of these?.....B
