I ate dog food, acorns, and lawn grass as a very young child.  If it was in the yard, it was in my mouth.  Needless to say I don't do that now.

I've had balut which is pretty popular in a lot of Asian countries. It's a fertilized duck egg so you end up with the embryo, yolk, fluid and sometimes edible egg white depending on the age of the egg. As horrifying as it sounds, it's actually pretty good once you get over the fact that you're some kind of monster.

I haven't eaten anything in the past that was that weird.  But I'd say that they oddest tasting food I've ever had was liver.  I don't hate liver.  But it's not exactly my favorite food either.  To me, it has an odd flavor.

Most of it is stuff just not considered civilized in modern America.
Goat curry ,which was by accident .
Fried alligator ,because it was all on the menu palatable. I had like two bites .
Whole sows ear . Taiwanese restaurant in Tokyo .
Fried chicken cartilage ,which is very popular in Japan . Again, one bite .
Natto ,just gross.... Grossssss ....japan .

Duck tongue . Dim sum in chinatown . I spit it out .
And I'm pretty sure I had horse meat carpaccio ,again,Japan ,which I didn't know,until after I ate it . I was p***ed I wasn't told what it was .

I happen to love tripe. The Italian way is spicy and yummy . The Spanish make quite similar to how the italians do .

And a lot of sauce to cover it up. This was from a raunchy Asian restaurant in White Center Washington.
