Real help?

So I do my best to dispell the nonsense that pops up about 'evil' entities. 95% of the time people are parroting what they have heard with no experience or evidence whatsoever, the other 5% are legitamatly in the throws of facing their inner shadow and are manifesting all sorts of dark experiences. I generally try to engage this 5% in pm, but it might be helpful for those who do not 'come out' to read as others overcome these things. I want to dedicate this thread to helping others through psyco/spiritual emergencies. Now. There are some issues that are entirely medical, but don't worry I'm not one of those that think psiciatrists are the end all, but certain things still belong in that realm.

Now... I would not like this to be a debating thread. If you disagree with me, either pm me, or start another thread about the issue and I'll gladly participate. If you, however, have real experience and wish to contribute by all means do. But please leve the demon fear mongering out, start your own thread if you like.

To begin.

1) state your problem or experiences. Try to be as accurate as possible. Little details can be important.

2) state your spiritual affiliation if any. I can modify the things I have learned to fit easily within the context of any religion.

3) be coachable. If you really want help, then you have to listen and actually give recommendations a shot.

4) be honest. Those of us with actual experience in these matters can usually smell attention seekers and fakers a mile away.

Anyway. I hope the thread sticks. It would be nice to have it all in one place.

Take care

I need some help. I love American History. I majored in the Civil War. I love going to battlefields but every time I go I get attacked but spirits. I have been sensitive since I was a child. I want to go to the 150th anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg but I have to go alone because my husband can't get leave. How can I close my mind and not get attacked? The first time I went I was shown memories of getting shot and bleeding to death. What can I do? I also have another question. When my husband goes with me he acts like a shield but he doesn't know how he does it. What's going on with him? Thank you.

You are just sensitive leafben. You are going to have to learn how to be an observer of your impressions not a reactor.

It's not him it's you. In. A way he is your protector and his presence inspires you in this. You don't need hisbpresencevto have this. But if it works, go with it.

:) I hope that helps.

Well this is the thing, I'm Roman Catholic with a healthy dose of agnosticism combined. I had an experience quite a few years ago I can't seem to forget. I was about 39, my daughter was with me, she was about 8 at the time, we were driving on a snow covered interstate to pick up her first pair of glasses, the weather was awful it was two lanes in one direction with a median on the left, we were in the outer lane, traffic was heavy, there was a semi next to me in the right lane, the median was embedded with a few feet of snow, the road conditions were bad and it was around twilight, a car spun around ahead of me and was headed straight at me, I couldn't go right the semi was right next to me and couldn't go into the median, it happened fast, I just closed my eyes tightened my hands on the steering wheel and edged closer to the semi, within a few seconds when I opened my eyes there was no car in front of me, looked in my rear view mirror nothing happening behind me, the car just disappeared and traffic continued on as normal, my daughter just looked at me and said "did u just see what I just saw" I said yes, what happened to that car, she didn't know she reacted the same way just covering her face and closing her eyes. I know there has to be a logical explanation but within that short a time frame I can't imagine how we didn't have an accident. I've had close calls in my lifetime but never with someone else present, my religious upbringing has always led me to thank my guardian angel, that day I truly believed I had a guardian angel but skepticism always creeps in, I'd like to just take a leap of faith but can't quite make the jump.

You don't have to have faith. Whatever happened was extraordinary wether mundane or not. I have had these things happen to me before as well.

I do believe in powerful guardians.... But this faith is shaken when great tragedies occur. I must wonder where these guardians are when a school shooting occurs or chemical weapons are dropped on children. In truth I think there are shifts in perception and we are really flitting through various personal lines of reality. Nearly everyone has a story of narrowly avoiding death. It would seem that many more of us would die tragically if it was really that narrow, and from my own experiences It certainly was. Many tragedies are avoided all the time, but that which protects us simply is not perfect and things slip through the cracks. When I direct my attention to the images this subject brings to me, I see an angle trying desperately to pull the strings it needs to help in anyway that it can, many times it finds the way through sometimes the odds and circumstances are just to stacked.

My intuition tells me that this also has something to do with the child that was with you.

Thank you for your response, I guess everyone at one time or another looks for some proof of their faith even though true faith doesn't need proof, I was always told the mysteries require a leap of faith and as a child that was easy but as an adult and post college years and years of "life" you want the questions answered. As a child you're more open to spirituality, not as much clogging the senses, maybe as we age we become more childlike or so that's how the story goes, lol We'll see. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
