The debate over cycling safety has reached, well, road-rage levels in recent months, as anyone who saw the BBC documentary War On Britain’s Roads will tell you.

Should cyclists wear helmets? Are bike lanes a good idea?

Even the ubiquitous neon jacket has come in for some criticism – as it’s been suggested that it fosters the idea that cycling is inherently dangerous.

There should be bike lanes all across the UK, they are brilliant. As for helmets, well that's down to the individuals choice and whether they want to survive an impact to the head. lol
