Still Waters Posted September 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2015 Buried in a wooden coffin, unlike some of the monks laid to rest nearby, the discovery of a three-year-old child's skeleton beneath a Westminster Abbey toilet block has left archaeologists baffled. The bones were uncovered beneath Victorian drainage pipes along with the skeletons of up to 50 people, buried more than a thousand years ago, after a 1950s lavatory block was knocked down to make way for a new building. It is believed the child must be of some status, given how it was buried, but the skeleton is too small and poorly preserved to determine the sex without further scientific tests. http://www.dailymail...nage-pipes.html
