Still Waters

For a few weeks each year, a small river flowing through Sierra de la Macarena in Columbia attracts tourists from across the globe as it dons a dazzling array of colours.

My first reaction when I clicked on that page was to say "wow"....literally. No wonder it's a tourist attraction, it's lovely.

It's outright beautiful, but I am shocked that only so few media outlets can get the name of the country right. It's Colombia.

Stunning! The distinction between the colours really stand out!

We have a Pink Lake Down Under in West Australia, my brother used to live in Esperance, I did visit him, and saw it for myself. It's not always pink, algae blooms at certain times of the year and gives the pink colour, I was lucky enough to be visiting during one of these times.
