Still Waters Posted May 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2014 A fearless crocodile handler wows onlookers by sliding towards one of the world's most deadly creatures and giving it a long kiss at the end of its nose. This is while the fearsome animal has its jaws wide open - ready to snap. https://uk.news.yaho...41.html#4eGT5M8
Bendy Demon Posted May 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2014 Why, oh why, am I not impressed? All these people are doing is playing croco-roulette by doing all these silly things. It takes nothing at all for one of these creatures to snap their jaws on one of the trainers and it no longer is so entertaining. Oh well, whatever brings in paying customers, right?
Astra. Posted May 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2014 That's just crazy....even Steve Irwin wasn't that fearless. He showed the crocodiles more respect.
Eldorado Posted May 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2014 Fortunately they weren't playing snap, they were playing roulette. The 'trainer' willl lose sometime, I reckon.

Q-C Posted May 29, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Are they crocodile trainers or crocodile chow in training? Try this in the wild, and I'll be impressed. For now, I worry more about the treatment of these crocs than I do the "trainers". The trainer gets paid $7. The crocodile gets paid in concrete and chlorinated water, maybe force fed (last year's trainers)? Edited May 29, 2014 by QuiteContrary
freetoroam Posted May 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2014 ok, now lets see them do this before the croc has been fed.......or is that just a bit sadistic of me?
Q-C Posted May 29, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) The thought of force-feeding got me thinking. Could you train a crocodile from a young age that it gets fed if its mouth is (forced) wide open and (forced to) remains that way? And so these trainers, who feed them, initiate an unnatural open mouth response to food rather than a chomping down and tearing response? It may not be foolproof, but... Idk, it's been a while since I trained crocs Edited May 29, 2014 by QuiteContrary
