Eldorado Posted September 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) "A Saddar police spokesman said Muhammad Sabir, a pir of village Mubarakabad in Bahawalnagar, gained popularity over the last five years for his ability to perform ‘miracles’. He said on Tuesday, he announced that he could breathe life back into a dead man. The pir gave the condition that the victim must be married and have children. Sabir said 40-year-old Muhammad Niaz, a daily wage worker and father of six children, volunteered for the miracle. On Wednesday, Niaz was placed on a table in a square and his hands and legs were bound. The police spokesman said Sabir then sliced his throat as people looked on."................. jamesjr191 Posted September 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) I find it hard to believe the crap some people will fall for and get sucked into. i dont understand why some people seem to need a religion to follow in their lives. I follow none and im doing just fine, nobody's sacrificed me. Edited September 22, 2014 by jamesjr191
libstaK Posted September 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2014 Gee and here I was thinking, resurrection gone wrong = zombie apocalypse. What an absolutely ridiculous tragedy born of the pride of one and the gullibility of the other.

libstaK Posted September 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 23, 2014 I keep wondering how the mystic could have been so sure that he could resurrect the man and also how the man could be so sure he would be resurrected. Did he test his abilities on other animals before hand? Or are we dealing with the ultimate of human nasties - a murdering conman who gets his kicks by shocking huge audiences when he commits his killings? It really boggles the mind how this could even be allowed to take place - why didn't the authorities step in and stop it? Or anyone in the audience? Did they think they were just going to witness a "magic" trick born of very clever illusion?

Taun Posted September 23, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2014 I don't know what's more hideously stupid.. That some one actually thought they could do this... Or that someone volunteered to have it done...

Taun Posted September 23, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 23, 2014 And it had an audience. That didn't surprise me really... Just look at how many people slow down while driving past a wreck, to "rubberneck"...
nigella Posted September 23, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 23, 2014 I am stunned and amazed at how completely gullible humanity is. (I have been reading a lot of books on Polygamous Mormon communities).

Grandpa Greenman Posted September 23, 2014 #15 Share Posted September 23, 2014 What is a amazing is his sister didn't think the guy should have been arrested for killing her brother. Insanity must run in the family. The guy had six kids looks like evolution failed on that one. Samina, sister of the victim, told The Express Tribune, that her brother had sacrificed himself for the spiritual leader. "Why should I mourn when I know that my brother is in heaven, she said. He will be rewarded for his services for the spiritual leader in afterlife." She said her brother had volunteered for the miracle and that the pir should not have been arrested
Hermesacat Posted September 23, 2014 #16 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Let's hope this Pir doesn't have a whole lot of Pir peers pulling similar stunts.

maximusnow Posted September 23, 2014 #18 Share Posted September 23, 2014 If you are a true soldier of ISIL or ISIS, you have to go through with this ritual of resurrection; if you are brought back you are worthy to continue the fight. This is what we need to spread as doctrine.
Hermesacat Posted September 23, 2014 #19 Share Posted September 23, 2014 The honorable Pir could have saved himself & his victim's family much grief if he'd chosen to try resurrecting someone who'd already died instead of murdering someone with his own hands first & thus ending up responsible for both the death & the failed resurrection! The Pir's a poor planner.
Bendy Demon Posted September 23, 2014 #20 Share Posted September 23, 2014 What baffles me is if this man was supposedly volunteering to be killed and resurrected, then why did he have to be tied to a table? Seriously I wonder about the human race and their penchant for blindly following any tripe that is vomited out by so-called "mystics" and what is worse is demanding that their children believe this baloney too.
snop1x Posted September 23, 2014 #21 Share Posted September 23, 2014 i don't know who was more stupid. the guy believing he could bring people back from the dead or the guy accepting to do this...

ozman Posted September 24, 2014 #23 Share Posted September 24, 2014 He woke up one day thinking he has power over life and death and decided to go into the village to tell people of his new powers and put those powers to the test LMAO. He went mentally ill or lost his mind.

Bendy Demon Posted September 24, 2014 #25 Share Posted September 24, 2014 That's messed up on so many different levels.... He committed murder, of course he should be arrested! Sadly when it is part of some religious "ceremony" then it suddenly is no longer murder but a heavenly act. What is even worse is the followers who are so brainwashed by this trash that if they condone outright murder on adults I shudder to think what would they would do to their children in the name of their precious religion. Murder is murder no matter how much candy coating you slather on it.
