something very odd

Ok. This is the first time i've posted here, but here it goes.

I live in southwest Virgina, and there is a lake there called fairy stone lake. Also on the east edge (i think) there is a huge cliff called lovers leap. It was where two native americans from different tribes jump off and died to prove there love. And the lake is the only place in the world where you can find Fairy stones which are tiny stones shaped like crosses.

So me and my dad went camping there one Saturday. Well we had a very good time swimming and Hiking, but will on a hike i found a unusally big fairy stone. So like they do with all the stones is you must turn them over to park officals. So i did and they put it on exibt.

Well it was just about dark when me and my father herad a loud pitch noise in the woods. Thinking it might be some one in need of help we ran into the woods.

There is saw the most beatiful and the scarest thing ever. It was a Light green glow which was moving in the trees. Well it let out another noise and just disappered.

After we made it back to camp we told some of the other campers and they say they heard nothing! So after i fanlly went to sleep i had this odd dream that I saw the light agian but i followed it. And that is all i remembered.

But when i woke up the next morning i was wet. Thinking the expereince of the light might have made me use the bathroom in the bed. I changed into clean closed when a park ranger came up to us and ask if we had seen anyone on lovers leap last night.

We said no. then he keep going on saying that alot of stones were stolen last night and a figure was spotted jumping off of lovers leap!

AND I THINK MY DREAM WAS REAL AND I STOlE THE STONES!

pls can someone make sense of this

Do you have the stones? What was your mood that night? Were you depressed?

Um I think that you'll know when they arrest you for theft. Or if they don't your safe. Heres an Idea, go scuba diving and see if you can find the stones at the bottom of Lovers leap. If they're there you did it. Klepto.

The green glow you saw was most likely foxfire. And well, people do some strange things when they sleepwalk. It would be helpful if we knew if you or anyone in your family has any history with somnabulism..

And about that lovers' leap story; it's as common as pigeons. Almost every area has at least one story similar to that. Oftentimes when you do some digging you find it was completely made up for entertainment value..

General Information: Fairy Stone State Park is home of the mysterious "fairy stones." It is one of the six original Virginia state parks to open on June 15, 1936. The treasured stone so prevalent in the region, beautiful scenery, rich history and ample recreational opportunities make Fairy Stone one of the favorites of park visitors. Junius B. Fishburn, who had been president of the Southwest Virginia Trust Company, donated the 4,868-acre site, making it the largest of the six original parks and one of the largest to this day.

The Legend of the Fairy Stone

"Many hundreds of years before Chief Powhatan’s reign, fairies were dancing around a spring of water, playing with naiads and wood nymphs, when an elfin messenger arrived from a city far away. He brought news of the death of Christ. When these creatures of the forest heard the story of the crucifixion, they wept. As their tears fell upon the earth, they crystallized to form beautiful crosses. When the fairies disappeared from the enchanted place, ground about the spring and the adjacent valley was strewn with these mementos of the event.

For many years people held these little crosses in superstitious awe, firm in the belief that they protected the wearer against witchcraft, sickness, accidents and disaster. Fairy stones are brown staurolite, a combination of silica, iron and aluminum. Together, these minerals crystallize in twin form, accounting for the crosslike structure. Found only in rocks that have been subjected to great heat and pressure, the stones are most commonly shaped like St. Andrew’s and Roman crosses. The most sought after are those in the shape of the Maltese cross.

The rare staurolite stones are found elsewhere but not in such abundance and shaped so nearly like crosses as in the vicinity of Fairy Stone State Park."

Here is the legend and history of Fairy stone park,

But i found out that i didn't take the stones the VA state police found them 50 miles away and the guy that jump off the cliff wasn't me. it was some crazy kid but thanks for listening and am glad im not crazy

gigan, I just don't believe you stole any fairy stones. How would you have gotten to them? You said they were locked up (somewhere) by the park officals. wink2.gif Also if this lovers leap your talking about, killed two natives from them jumping off of it, then I seriously doubt you would be alive right now if you had jumped off there yourself. disgust.gif So don't worry about it, you just had a bad dream which caused you to sweat, which is why you were wet when you woke up. grin2.gif
