Druid/Wiccan/Pagan and Christianity

well only some of it is IMO some of it is fact im pretty sure you can tell the diffrence XD

I had a friend who gave me alot of pages on the Druid religion... Well as i read through i noticed some similarities between that and the Christian bible.. it made me think. Druidism came thousands of years before Christianity. It also spoke of a Lucifer and Gods and such. Well they are said to have thought Jesus was a Druid because of the healings he did was what the Druids did. My thoughts ( please forgive the lack of detail i dont know the sites but atleast its something to think about/reflect on/study into) and Christians please dont respond "its the devils work" but Many things Jesus did was said to have been what Druids did and i just thought of how EASY it is really to misinturpate the things Jesus could have said like what if Jesus was talking about one of the Gods and said This is My father i serve no one but him. He is the one God i serve terms such as this could easily be misinturipted so is it... possible that the Christian religion is just a weird misinterpated spin off on the Druid/Pagan/Wiccan religions?

I.. don't know what book on Druidism you've read...

But Druidism is nothing like Christianity. Lucifer was actually a roman god of the morning star (Which is actually venus.. the planet) So how Druidism would mention him would be if someone was trying to do a modern day blend between Druidism and Christianity.

Have a question. I am not very familiar with Druids and their culture. Is there written recordings of healings, casting of devils, raising someone from the dead, expanding little food and drink to find hundreds, and being crucified because of it? Am asking in all honesty and there is no meanness intended. I am an open minded person but have to have some facts. Thanks for being patient. :)

You mis understand >< i am saying that the Druid faith mentions Lucifer... i am not saying they are the SAME i am saying they have SOME similarities.... i am saying isnt it interesting that alot of things that the Christians mention in the Bible has SOME i repeat SOME relation to things the Druids teach...

ex. i could walk up to soemone and say I worship That egg plant! there are other Gods and Goddess but he is my one true God i worship no one but him The sunflower then watched over the humans

then years later down the road you read something like this Worship the egg plant he is the only one true thing to worship

then years later after many people have speard the word put in their opinoin and have talked about it you see this There is only one egg plant you dont worship him your evil you must die and his enemy is the Sunflower seed!

notice... how things can be changed around and worded and also misunderstood similar preaching as the Druid not the same but similar and has its reflextions

As a practicing Druid who is often at odds with the christians on this site I would say mixing at least my from of Druidry and christianity is an oil and water at best. There are forms of Druidry it can be done and there are christian Druids. Most of those are the form which hearken back to the 18th century forms which have very little to do with the ancient Celtic religion.

The study of the ancient Druids is very complex as there is very little left of the old Celtic religion left. It is said the old Druids didn't write any thing down, but as I study the old Druids I am beginning to question that and I believe what was written was simply destroyed by the christian take over and the use of fragile tree based papers.

As far a Jesus being a Druid or having met them is pretty far fetch. If Jesus was a real person I am sure he knew of the Celts and the Druids he was a Roman citizen and Rome was at war with the Celts, but I think his main focus would have been getting Rome out of his own country. Jesus was a Jewish Rabi he followed the 10 Commandments and the first one is

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

The ancient Celt and Druids were Polytheistic I don't think Jesus would approve I know the christians on UM don't. :D
