Lxg sequel

The league of extraordinary gentlemen was great. I don't know how many people agree.

The mixture of literature and film was great, espically the war of the world posters in the back ground.

I hope they make a sequel, what do you guys think?

Love the avatar, thumbsup.gif

LXG was pretty cool, but I think coulda been a lot better as it has so much going for it,with its ideas and characters, the comics are brilliant. thumbsup.gif

If they do make a sequal I think Connery would choose another director as I they were having rucks. angry.gif

It was total crap that completely ruined the comic it was based on. Completely. I can't think of many worse adaptations. Any money put into a sequel they need to use it to hire new writers.

Love the avatar! thumbsup.gif Bring on Gremlins 3 damnit!

I haven't read any of the LXG comics and I have no desire to so I can't comment on how good of an adaptation it was but as a film, I thought it was ok. Not as bad as people make it out to be anyway. Same with Hulk and Daredevil... They aren't great but a lot of people make them out to be the worst things ever and they aren't. The difference is that Hulk and Daredevil will get sequels and LXG probably won't.

I don't know what the marketing was like in the US but I don't think they did a good job of it over here which is why it might not have done as good as it could have. I mean it was marketed as just another comic book style movie when I think it would have been better to devote enitre adverts to just one character, give a little bio, say why this character is so extrodinary and so on on top of having just adverts for the movie. That's one thing anyway. The other would have been not to give Sean Connery top billing, I mean, he just isn't a big box office draw any more so to hype a movie solely around him and his character was pretty stupid too.

I don't think there will be a sequel and if there is it will probably be direct to Video/DVD unless there is some producer who wants to risk pouring money into a franchise that isn't going anywhere, and if there is a theatrical sequel it won't be for several years when it has left every bodies memory.

LXG was good, not great, but it was good. I enjoyed it, but it could have easily been better. The only character i really liked was the vampire tongue.gif As for a sequel? I dunno, i don't think they could/would pull it off.

i heard about the movies terrible reviews and decided to go see it anyways....and i ended up enjoying it a lot more than i thought i would. it was a pretty damn good movie. i think a sequel would be good, as long as they bring Sean Connery back.

Yeah it wouldn't be the same without Sean Connery after all he is a legend (and yes i'm a bond fan so thats why i'm saying it).

Yeah and Skinner ruled, he was my fav.

I want Gremilins 3 too but that will never happen disgust.gif
