That's serious business when you run out of toilet paper.

Unfortunately they are facing shortages on things like milk, coffee and butter.

All things we take for granted, here in the land of the spoiled..
What if we could remake cigarette filters into toilet paper?

Cannabis plantations? More efficient, less environmentally taxing etc than the current resources. They also make for a higher output per square meter which makes for more farmland for cattle and coffee plantations.

Which greedy industries and backward/ignorant politicians are holding this back?

Romans used stones, with the names of people they don't like on them.

That is one of the things I dislike about travel to the States.  They have toilet paper, not sprayers or bidets.  For a fat man that is hard to do; it is also unsanitary and doesn't do a complete job, resulting in "skid marks."  It is also wasteful of trees.

But at least you do not have to use squat toilets, which is tough for a fat man, too.

Those are rare now and pretty much just in the country.  I think its healthier for reasons I won't get into.

Venezuelans go through about 150 million rolls of toilet paper every month

Well, they will have to change their diet.

In an ideal World a law would be passed were NO guns were allowed and all those out there destroyed, trouble is the law makers are not going to take a risk of trying to pass that without making sure they are armed first.
