strangled while sleeping

On friday night 19 sept 2014 I woke up screaming your strangling me and jumbed out of bed. Then I could not fall asleep en my bed room was extra dark I did not feel safe. I prayed more then 10 time but I still could not fall asleep. The next morning wen I got out of bed my trout was swallen and I had a sore trout.

Am I dreaming or was I really strangled? By some thing I couldn't see but could feel it in the room. If its real how do I stop it.

Sometimes the way we're laying in bed can cause pain and discomfort. How were you positioned in bed that night? Sometimes a person wakes up with a sore throat and while asleep, they were making huge snores.

Was your room airtight, fresh or stuffy?

Usually things like this aren't paranormal but the way that the human body reacts to being in bed for long periods.

If you feel worried, get a night light and some room insense.

I was lying on my side as normal but work up on my back. But my room was fresh windows where open all day. Normaly my fone lights en I leave the bathroom light on it shines in my room. But wen that happened it didn't shine in. But I might have been to scared to notice. I'll get some insense. And a night light thanks.

I experience very vivid sleep related hallucinations on a regular basis. Sometimes the hallucinations are tactile and a common experience is to feel like I'm being strangled with a vivid sensation of my neck being squeezed.

A related phenomenon is the sensation of someone being in the room, so if you experienced the sensation of being strangled and also sensed a presence in the room, I would suggest that it's probably just the kind of hallucination that many of us experience from time to time upon waking from sleep.

I don't think on the face of it that your experience is anything to cause you concern.

I agree with jamesjr191, seems like your head woke up before everything else did. I did this once and let me tell you....what a hoot it was

I jumped out of bed and land head first into the carpet, like you throwing a dead body on the floor with a loud thude! xD

It was really scary an I asked around here The people say its a spirit that was sent. From a very evil person. En said I should throw rough salt on the roof and around the house. I must say I slept like a baby.

We have a lot of people complaining about being attacked by evil spirits or demons as they say. My maid said I should get my priest to come pray ASAP. That thing could kill me lol.

I could not release myself physically so mentally and spiritualy i fought it off, litrally i thought it off. I ran for the light switch would'nt work. Until my Mother entered the room on hearing my screams ha ha She switched the light on first time even though i had been flicking it on to no avail previously. Go figure, sleep paralasis my ****

Ja hay its freeks me out totally. Then what might it be then?

You were given an answer. Sleep paralysis. If anything, go to the doctor and have things checked out. If you are as concerned about it as you appear to be, why take a chance?
