Having strange dreams that I have telekinesis

I'll start out by saying I'm not a superstitious person. I don't believe in karma, fate, god, mind-control devices, or any of that good stuff, though I do enjoy TV/books/movies about that sort of thing. Yet, about 6 months ago I started having dreams where I have telekinesis. In my dreams, I can move things around just by thinking about them. Normally, most people wouldn't consider this an issue. But a few months ago I started having them almost every night. It's gotten to the point where when I need to get out of my chair to get something, my first instinct is to use telekinesis to bring it towards me. It only lasts about a second, but I still have to remind myself that I can't move things with my mind, it only works in my dreams. I've gotten desperate enough to try to sit there with a can in front of me and concentrate for a good 5 minutes trying to move it. The weirdest part about it is when I do this, I can sort of feel the part of my brain that I'm stressing trying to do this, and it's the same place every time. It's sort of like when you can feel a headache only in a specific part of your brain.

Basically I came here to ask anyone familiar with these sort of delusions what this means, and what I should do. I have no history of any sort of mental illness, I'm not schizophrenic or anything, and I don't take any kind of medications. I've never even taken any sort of drug or alcohol. I have no idea what's causing this, so hopefully some of you will be able to give me some advice.

Thank you for your time.

Welcome aboard.

There must be more to say about the dreams than just that they feature your having telekinesis. You might wish to keep a journal of your dreams and review that from time to time.

In any case, it seems you like the idea, if you play around with it while you are awake :) .

It's sort of like when you can feel a headache only in a specific part of your brain.

You can't feel your brain, since there are no sensory neurons there. You may feel a headache in only part of your head, and you might even "refer" a pain (feel it as being located somewhere other than where the sensory complaint really originates).

I can sort of feel the part of my brain that I'm stressing trying to do this, and it's the same place every time.

You're probably stressing some muscles, tensing them up as you try to move the object.

Anyway, it's not delusional until you think you have TK in real life (assuming that you don't, which is the way to bet). You are not the first person who has dreamt of how neat something would be to do or to have, and then "tried it out" in waking life, just to see, just in case.

Enjoy your dreams.

You began your post with "I am not superstitious.I don't believe in Karma, fate, god, mind control devices, etc".

You said that you are seventeen years of age, so I'm going to tell it to you as if I would be talking to one of my children when they were your age. You are most likely trying to find your nitch in life. If you are focusing on one thing in your dreams, It is my opinion that, most likely you are grasping on to anything that can believe in.

When I finished reading your post I just sat back and thought...boy has he got some more problems than to be worried about moving things. You just said that you don't believe in anything....so now you decided, that you can believe that you can move furniture. Wow....that is a stretch.

If I were to give you advice it may be to stop watching so much tv, movies, dvs's and things that are baised on unrealistic junk and just talk to people. Get involved in something more that fanticy. Work on non- self centered behaviors. Do volunteer work helping others. This project will give you some idea of something that is real, like hunger, poverty and illness. If you believe in something I hope you will believe in the the idea that as humans we need to servive. Maybe you will begin to undersand what we are all searching for ....the reason why we are even here.

I hope this has helped you. I did not say these to hurt you, just to try to get you to get back on track.I apologize in advance if I have offended you. It was not my purpose.

Good Luck to you and God Bless

I don't want it to eventually break the barrier between existing only in my thoughts to actually thinking it's real.

There's nothing in your post that suggests there is any likelihood of that. You have tried the experiment. It didn't work, and you know that it didn't work.

There was a little glimmer of hope about that feeling of stress in the head. Hope is a normal and ordinary part of human life.

do you know what I could do to stop having these dreams?

No, I don't. I seriously would suggest keeping that dream journal, though.

At the risk of sounding like some "writing across the curriculum" booster, recording your dreams ensures that you think about them - the whole dream, not just the showy part. Lots of folks benefit from thinking about their dreams. Try it.

I'm just so fixated on it and I really wish it were real.

I wish it were real, too. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't want to let my desires interfere with my perceptions of reality.

Then don't. You sound like a sensible person, you know what's dream and what's waking reality.

All sorts of people want all sorts of things, without ever becoming confused about whether they have them or not. With you, it's TK. Me? Keira Knightley.

Hope that helps.

Wow, that really sounds condescending. To me, it seems like you just used my age to determine that I don't know what I want in life and that I'm using my dreams to figure out my place in the world, when I just said I don't believe in fate. How would that post have gone if you weren't talking to someone who is 17? In my opinion, they should be the same.

When I finished reading your post I just sat back and thought...boy has he got some more problems than to be worried about moving things. You just said that you don't believe in anything....so now you decided, that you can believe that you can move furniture. Wow....that is a stretch.

Is it a problem to not believe in karma, fate, god or mind control devices? I'd consider it more of a problem if you DID believe all of those things. I only believe in things that are consistent with my experiences and knowledge. I don't believe in any of the things I listed because I don't see any reason why I should.

Also, I never said I believe I can move furniture, I never even mentioned the word furniture. All I said was I've been having recurrent dreams that I have telekinesis. If you are going to criticize something someone says, at least refrain from commenting on things they did not, in fact, say.

If I were to give you advice it may be to stop watching so much tv, movies, dvs's and things that are baised on unrealistic junk and just talk to people. Get involved in something more that fanticy. You seem to be making a lot of judgements that are not true about me. Where did I say that I don't talk to people? Where did I say that I spend countless hours watching tv, movies, dvd's and thinks based on "unrealistic junk"? Here's a little list of my hobbies and life aspirations. When I'm not at school TALKING TO PEOPLE, my favorite hobby is to play games online with my REAL LIFE friends from school. Currently, I'm also learning some programming languages to possibly create programs that will HELP PEOPLE. Also, you might be interested to know that it has been my goal since 6th grade to go to college to study in the field of computers, and join the army after college. I just accepted an Army ROTC full-tuition scholarship to my college, where I'll learn to be an army officer on top of my normal classes. After college, I'll be spending 4 years as an officer. If risking your life for your country and making decisions to try to save other people's lives isn't helping others, I don't know what is.

I understand you weren't "trying to hurt" me, but your response was nonconstructive and offensive, no matter what your intentions were.

Message boards are a hit and miss. Never know who you are going to run into and good advice can be hard to find some times. I would like to start by saying I know where you come from. I have had a few dreams like this. Not in severity as much as you say but enough that I have wondered and tried moving things as well with my mind to find out as I already knew that it doesn't work in our world... at least as far as I know. However in my time (I am 30) I have had many paranormal experiences. I have often found myself calling on the name of Jesus in dreams when I am under spiritual attack. One was a dream I was in where I was confronted by faces in stained glass windows that turned to look at me with ancient writing on them. At the moment of unusual fear I rebuked the dream in Jesus name and instantly woke. (It in the bible that God gave Jesus a name above all names that every knee should bow. Mathew Mark Luke john acts Romans ect.) I woke from the dream paralyzed and facing a dark cloud that billowed above me and a stench of fear unlike normal. I again commanded it to go in Jesus name in my mind as my body was paralyzed but not my mind and it left and I regained my freedom and normal vision and still a fear around. I praised God and a peace came so I went back to bed. There is more to that real life event that I stated as it involved a coven and they tried to contact me in the dream and when I rebuked that thing it unfortunately went back and harmed an individual because I p***ed it off (a very unfortunate event I still pray for them). So normally I don't consider all dream connected to reality but in some cases I do. I have had more dreams than that with unusual experiences enough to teach me the power of Jesus authority.

But I was discussing the telekinesis. My dreams with telekinesis which I wondered about ask asked God, "why the heck would I dream of Telekinesis!?" also bothered me. It didn't seem to fit in my christian walk with God. After I asked God this though it occurred to me as many things seem to occur after I ask God questions that this telekinesis can be a form of spiritual power in the spirit realm. How things are moved in the spirit. And when you dream you often drift and are more susceptible to spirit like things. Emotions become amplified. Some people are even affected physically from their dreams. I even suspect that the ufo phenomena may be connected to the spiritual realm (to illustrate how real the spirit real may be). Many abductions seem very demonic and I have found many testimonies about abductions being stopped by Jesus authority but that's another subject.

One dream I was in a war torn environment. I was laying under the floor boards and look to my left is a dead "Grey" alien. I hear scuffling above me. I hear a voice speak in my head (a familiar voice actually that has protected me in the past). It tells me, "They have your brother". I suddenly feel rage and come out from under the floor boards to catch them (other greys I assume or some kind of spiritual being). The roof is gone (blown away and are looks like much war has been here.) and the stars look beautiful but I am determined to catch them but they just left and closed the door behind them. I run to the door and open it. (one of the remaining standing walls.) I look out and see a non-lit ufo making off and I yell, "oh no you don't!" and reach for it and start forcing it to the ground. It fights me and I fight it. I am winning its getting closer... closer... its metal is scraping on the pavement in front of me and sparks start flying. I am raging mad I suddenly feel I am going to rip it open (to get to my brother) and as I start to do so I suddenly wake up. I awake and my head hurts tremendously from the strain. I was really fighting hard and it was a certain part of my head also. In other dreams I have felt the same thing also. I feel I got from God that the enemy is this alien force and they are trying to take out brothers and sisters from us and that God wants us to fight for them. I believe this is also similar to the power and intensity of prayer when we really intercede (pray) for some one. That we are also doing battle in the spirit realm.

Any ways I saw you didn't like the answers and wanted you to know you are not the only one who has wondered or had these experiences. God bless you on your travels abroad sir. May his angels be with you.

Dreams of telekinesis can oftentimes mean that you have a large amount of untapped potential. You have great thoughts and ideas inside your mind, but you don't use them. Part of your subconscious mind, being that a lot of thought processes go beyond consciousness, realizes this and is telling you in the best way it can, "Put your thoughts into action, buddy! You can do it!"

However, there is a second meaning. The awakening of great paranormal powers. Though, I have to say, it's usually the former on this one, lol.

As for this whole business of your reactions during the daytime, try not to take it too seriously. You have had this same recurring dream for several months now, it's only natural that you would begin to wonder if it possible that you have these powers or not. And the whole issue with the headaches or whatever in the certain part of your brain. I agree with eight bits' opinion: "You're probably stressing some muscles, tensing them up as you try to move the object"

Good luck and I wish you all the best in dealing with this issue :)

Welcome to UM !!!

Nice insight on the OP. However I suspect that you are interested in "The awakening of great paranormal powers". Would you be interested in a group like this?

Thanks,

airsoft, have you tried asking someone in your dreams? I'm being completely serious. If anyone knows what's going on, they do.

I have experienced the same kinds of dreams about flying, telekinesis, etc. For me, though, it feels like lessons.

You shouldn't worry about how "delusional" it is to attempt to do dream things in your waking life. Delusion is defined as "a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact." The very fact that you are posting here suggests that you do not meet those criteria. You just seem to have interesting dreams that may mean interesting things and unlike most people you don't immediately forget your dreams.

I also think that your troubles might come from you not understanding yourself or your reality; you are trying to form a cohesive reality by rejecting or accepting different beliefs. Your current belief is that "superstitious" things do not exist, and so your dreams and your response to your dreams challenge your status quo, which in turn cause a bit of cognitive dissonance.

Or something.

I too had these dreams on and off over years of being able to move things with my mind... One week I had these dreams almost every night.. being able to move things at will seemed so natural in my dreams that It took a while to realize it was only a dream.. During that week it seemed that I was getting lessons in it.. It showed me how it was a muscle that was triangulated somewere near the temple area and the area above the roof of the mouth.

( I suppose that is why sometimes in meditation you are asked to position your tongue to a point at the roof of the mouth)

Also that as all objects are vibrational energy you have to mentally connect with the object.. form some sort of mental agreement.. connection.

The energy is perhaps what we see as the energy that is created along with the gravity that is produced via the vibration of matter that IS the object. ( maybe it is the energy that is the by product of the spinning of the protons and the electrons of the atoms... not sure.. but something along that line that creates the signature of the SUM OF the object..

and.. Could it be Scalar Energy ???

My link

My link

But the few times I have accidently moved some largish object , I subconsicouly connected with the object.. ( I gather it was like becoming ONE with the object) another thing the spiritual people go on about.

The one that cause the biggest scene was at a restaurant when we were having Chinese banquet and I "realy" wanted some more of that green tea.. as I was doing a lot of chatting as was feeling quite dry... suddenly the cup flew to my hand.. It seemed natural.. ( just like I had experienced so often in my dreams) and the others witnessed it!! They yelled .. pulled back from the table and almost fell off their chairs in surprise.. I just mumbled that I was thirsty..

They brought this event up again many times.

I was able to make simple things move by just concentrating really hard a few times.. but not to that extent.. ( like a chain swinging.. or branches moving together like branches that are forked and of a 45 % angle.. to move close to say 25% of a bush or tree when there was no breeze.. it seems to be easier to get plants to move in directions you choose or to wave when there is no breeze because there is a more obvious life force involved than objects.

What I am trying to say here.. is maybe there is something to these dreams..

Maybe it is a latent ability that some or many of us possess? That there are many nueronal groups of connections that could be exercised.. so that the use of these abilities become more consistant..

What we have to do is be open to this and not listen to all the 'Skeptics'...

Strange things happen.. they happen randomly... so the fact that it happens randomly.. and we often dismiss it just like we dismiss children's imaginary friends.. it means that it is likely possible..

Our subconscious is hinting at this in our dreams.. making us comfortable with the idea of this gift.. showing us how it feels when we do it.. over and over again.. to the extent that it seems real... maybe it is..

I am thinking here that maybe we learn how to approach scenarios in our dreams. That they are educational..Make us more alert during 'deja vu' experiences.

Are we not more alert during these deja vu times. Do we act out of the ordinary? Is it because we learned something during those dreams?

Could not all those people who experience telekenisis be slowly learning , aquiring telekentic abilities?

Have you not noticed how you are more likely to catch things as they fall? Sense how at critical times things seem to move more slowly allowing you time to minimize tricky situations?

Witnesses to these events also seemed to notice how things seem move in slower motion so it is not just a personal experiential experience.. the air seems thicker. Or have you noticed how you are alert to random things just moving a teetering and depending on your energy ( feeling down.. angry or optimistic) it affects the outcome of event.. almost as if your world is in sinc with how you feel...

Somehow I think mind/feelings affect 'matter' around us.. and telekenisis.. individual gravitation activation is a part of this.

Remember how 'real' and 'natural' telekinis seems to be in our dreams.

Accepting... validating it .. activating that 'feeling of the telekenetic experience' that you have in your dreams is part of the first step towards this.

Note how some seem to have superhuman strength.. able to life heavy objects during times of crisis.. seem unharmed during fires... We instinctively know minimize gravity and the laws of 'accepted reality' at these times.

Note how it has been scientifically proved that differing silenced/latent genes get activated at times of extreme stress.

Maybe some of the 'latent genes' get momentarily tripped...exposed (switched on and off activated by the inherent biological program for survival.

Maybe our psychological childhood programing of what is real, possible, things we need to adhere to, be accepted into our socialogical environment, to fit into our version of accepted reality (another survival mode) is what stops these 'latent genes' from staying fully activated.

All our recorded history displays examples of how anyone who displays out of the ordinary gifts has been condemed to very cruel outcomes..witch hunts.. seen as demonic powers.. with these people being tortured... burnt.. ostrasized in many ways.. or locked away and segregated as shamans.. priests.. priestesses.. prophets... all the inherant freedom in life would have been revoked.

How many times would parents of 'gifted children' been told to be quiet.. don't talk about it.. or do these things in public.. or else you would be taken away.,.. or in olden days have been frightened of them , seeing them as 'possessed' and 'dealt with'.

It was not in our best interests up till now to "own" these abilities.. gifts...

Even now , many gifted people are having a hard time.. being ridiculed, suppressed as they too are scared of this.

There must be more to say about the dreams than just that they feature your having telekinesis. You might wish to keep a journal of your dreams and review that from time to time.

In any case, it seems you like the idea, if you play around with it while you are awake <img src="http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/original.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="original.gif" /> .

You can't feel your brain, since there are no sensory neurons there. You may feel a headache in only part of your head, and you might even "refer" a pain (feel it as being located somewhere other than where the sensory complaint really originates).

Enjoy your dreams.

well i would say that stop thinking about it your dreams are in sub concios level controlked by you if you cant get it out of yourhead you will start dremaing about it my advice find soemthing to keep you busy they wil go away when you stop thinking about it dreams are just liek a thought they are a reflection fo your mind and consider yourself lucky iv only awoken to remmber 5 or so dreams in my life all of which are nightmares some with altered reality to that which we have in one part of my dream it started to look like a game i had played earlier

Dude i have been getting these dreams more and more frequently over the past few months. And can i say that the people commenting on here are a bit harsh and some of them i think not very understanding. Until you have dreamt or felt something like this i think it is hard to comprehend. I think this type of dream dream is very very personal. On one level to me, i think it shows maybe some inclination of what the mind is capable of, we dont use that much of our brain after all and the fact we even exist is a total mystery. The odds of which are totally crazy. On another level i feel that when i move the object i want to move i feel my brain clicks and relaxes, it makes me feel really happy and im not sure if its to do with achieving something that people dont think i can achieve or if im proving to myself that i am good at something. I haven't worked it out yet.

I see you posted this a while ago so it would be interesting to see what you have experienced since. I am currently 18 and i have been having these dreams for just over a year. I wouldn't say ignore the advice youve been given because that is wrong, but the opinions given seem to be the logical and practical ideas that people can comprehend. Don't be scared to think the "impossible"

What few cases that have supposedly been scientifically documented concerning telekinesis are in themselves a rarity (I wont' re-post and rehash an old topic. Search UM or google it).

If you're alike 99.99% of the world's population, telekinesis in your dreams reflects the desire for control over situation(s) that you are not wholly agreeing with in your life. It reflects a need to be free from restrictions, much like flying. Restrictions due to obligation, responsibility, duty, or societal expectations (such as a teen who is still under their parents' roof and just wants to rule their own life, or a military man who's tired of serving but still on contract, or an employee who doesn't want to lose their job but is tired of putting up with tons of crap from supervisors, etc.)

A subtle difference is that flying is more like idealizing the process, perhaps even a more natural way of being free and untethered by simply not becoming attached to life's weighty matters in the first place, while telekinesis is a more direct, forceful approach to it, tearing away from the tethers by sheer force of will and doing your own thing despite what you perceive to be (or what may actually be) holding you back.

It's a reflection of subconscious desire to be free to apply yourself as you see fit.

Did it all the time. It's not illness or whatever. That power in the dream come from your 'will'. Free your mind and concentrate on what you really want, don't worry about is real, logic stuffs. Just know that you can do anything in a dream.

Experienced telekinesis, flying, freeze time, invisible, teleportation, materialization, energy bursting, elemental creation, invulnerable body... some are well controlled.

The dream is just a part of information of other things you will eventually figure out later in life. The fact that you are curious enough to blog it says enough. People with no belief or lack or not enough faith have these dreams all the time. Doing these things in your dreams represents "power" that you will never posess but does exist. To posess power of the impossible to happen you need to ask for it. Not think you can make it happen. Ask who? Thats up to you, if you do not consider it to be god then just call it something else. Just as wierd as moving objects sounds it will be just as strange when the name is revealed to you.

Hello datnigz2002, welcome to UM :)

If your post is in reply to the OP, he hasn't been active on UM since Jul 11 2008. In view of this I don't see any point in keeping this thread open.
