I was more interested in the alley cat in the background.

Wishing you peace, love and happiness, brother/sister.

It's a spider walking on the lens of the camera.

I'm very drowsy after a late night and restless sleep. I read your post, Brian, and I clicked on the link to look at the photos. The link page contains the comment that the people thought the image looked like a child wearing a hoodie.

Because I'm very drowsy, my mind combined your comment and the comment on the link page. What I thought I read was "It looks like a spider wearing a hoodie."

All right, I see what's going on. This is the opening salvo in what will be an escalating series of juvenile tit for tat exchanges. Well titted! Stand by for my upcoming tat. --Dr. Sheldon Cooper

I dunno, to me that kinda looked like a glowing bigfoot child wearing a hoodie eating a piece of toast with Jesus Christ on it. :P

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

If you look closely at the images, you can see the glowing bigfoot child's unicorn, tethered to Joseph of Arimathea's staff, which is now of course a sacred thorn tree. How the bigfoot kid got that tree off Glastonbury Tor to Nottingham without killing it is yet another unexplained mystery.

Only mystery is why peeps concerned about car vandals cannot be bothered to close/lock their gates at night

just to be clear and a bit scientific.....IR cameras do not pick up body heat like someone else pointed out - bug, person, whatever.  It's merely and intense reflection of IR light being so close or on the lens of the camera.

but yes its a bug...if you watch the video, you'll notice little quick flashes of light around the car (or I should say between the car and the camera lens)  This is the same flying bug at a greater distance.  The reason its a flashing spot is that these CCT IR cameras are not shooting at 30 FPS.  It's much lower to conserve recording and disk space.  So you get frames of an illuminated bug but not a smooth video stream.
