Mad Manfred Posted March 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2005 I remember hearing that most forms of energy are actually, in a way, matter. It is also a common belief by Theists that their Gods are composed of energy of some description...probably the first form of life to ever exist. So, my question is this: If the Christian God is in fact matter (if it exists), then can it be captured and have its power harnessed or even destroyed? I'm not here to antagonise anyone...I've been asking myself this question for a few years. Out of curiosity I'd like to hear your thoughts. Maybe I'm way off on the whole matter/energy thing. kwai Posted March 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Taken direct from Lecture at Strathcylde uni Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Basic Physics and one of the first things you learn at school So,By your definition If energy Is matter then in no way can it be destroyed.Only thing you can do is change it to another state EG. Wood(burned )=ashes As for captured .You may have a point. If you can find a container large enough
MK ULTRA Posted March 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thats deep.Good question. Your soul maybe harnessed and destroyed too!, The battle between Heaven and Hell maybe fought not with faith and goodwill but with actual weapons rescuing God from a cell somewhere in Hell. Like a spiritual A Team,it would make a good film,i think. Copyright. D. Kilgour, Just in case.
MK ULTRA Posted March 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thats the thing, because energy never dies and carries on in different forms,Kinetic to actual matter would be possible, errrr????????? like cold winds blowing down a snowy mountain creating snowballs that will roll down the hill to create bigger snowballs, and transfering energy from the wind to make the phisical snowball.? ( I cant spell fisical,!) So energy can be made into matter and God could probably be captured!

I just didn't have anything to add... I just sat and giggled... Hopefully there wont be any crusades made on this thread, its an interesting topic... just my humble opinion... zandore Posted March 1, 2005 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2005 You can store energy in a battery or a capacitor.
Mad Manfred Posted March 1, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thats what I mean... If God does exist...then perhaps, given the uniqueness of the universe, it could be no more than the size of a microbe. Even if its size is limitless cant it still be caught in a relatively small, though powerful, container? Basic Physics and one of the first things you learn at school Never took the subject, mainly because they never had it at my school Which is regrettable. Athenian Posted March 1, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 1, 2005 (edited) You guys are going to change God into a battery? Good luck with that. Or maybe God is already a battery? A battery that keeps the universe running? Edited March 1, 2005 by Athenian
