Two people catch TB from domestic cats

Two people have caught tuberculosis after contact with infected cats, public health experts have warned.

It is the first time that TB has been transmitted from cats to humans.

While interesting, it does seem to be a very rare occurrence. From the article; "M. bovis is usually transmitted to humans by infected milk, although it can also spread via aerosol droplets." Yes, fortunately the clue is in the name, bovis.

Between this story and the recent one about cat poop parasites causing schizophrenia, I'd say there's a conspiracy to demonize cats. jk.
