The Lost Of So Many

crying.gif I was so heart broken when I saw the news about all the people that killed over seas. I couldn't believe what happened, I started to think how could god take so many children. All the new borns without a mum or dad, and all the people that have no homes to live in or families to go to. Why, did something like this happen? I mean I know that when god calls you have to answer, but why all the new born babies that hasn't had a chance to live or see the world yet?

"I almost lost my faith, because I couldn't understand why the young ones." It must have been scarey for them

How can I ease this pain in my heart?

How could God kill so many? Well, that's something for Him to understand and us to not know. He knows everything we don't know so I won't question Him! thumbsup.gif

Angelvalley,

This is a hard hitter, and yet so many people want to express their anger of why so many died! And no one can get an answer because no human caused the killings, the only one to blame, if your religous, is God and you want to express your anger at him! No other human, but God!!

If your religous, you would believe that God cause the tsunami, he killed so so many without mercy and left the land in ruins! And still, there is no one to blame, but an omnipotent entity whom we have no evidence of...

I've come to the conclusion that God did indeed raise that tsunami, that is my belief. That tsunami is Gods work, and yet I think, everything in life has a consequence. Everytime I do things that I felt are good, I get bad things as a consequence. I sit on the couch and enjoy my TV time, and I get fat....I throw a rock at my noisy neighbor, and I get arrested....I stomp my foot at the ground in my favor, and I get complaints!!!

The tsunami was a time where bad things happened, first. The tsunami should be my punishment, it should be my suffering!! I did not weep at the end of the event, but the weep came at the beginning....but where is the consequence? This I think came around the world. The consequence came from all over the world...every one paid money, everyone gave aid to the relief, every single soul actually gave pity to those who died in the tsunami!! They showed compassion, they weeped at the lost souls, and now they...having experienced the loss of so many, they have a deeper appreciation of life...they, for now on, would see life as more delicate, more meaning, and more fagile.

Yes people have died, and so many have gone. But why? why did God choose them? Why do they have to go, leave the Earth for us? Well, we can only understand so much about God, we can't understand him all the way. But, we can only pray for them, pray that they will rest from all the misery they had on this Earth, and may they rest in Heaven. They will not go to hell, because remember why we celebrate Christmas? Jesus died for us, he died for our sins. Our sins will be taken unto his account, so we cannot go to hell. To sin, we predict we would go to hell...but Jesus would go there with our sins and awaken those souls lost that were born before him, but Ken1burton showed me this, and I hope he will explain this into more detail, he taught me this(thank you Ken original.gif )...

Remember, the Tsunami gave suffering...but remember religous one, to suffer is to grow. We take an understanding to life, as we loose so much more...may we show mercy to more lives and take an understanding in righteousness from the experiences we get.

The Tsunami was a wake up call. What the same is that there are so many of us humans on the planet now that 10 million people, including myself and my family, could die and the old world would just keep on going. However, as in any treajedy, the beauty is the outpouring of human generosity.

Rubbish. The charity, compassion, and assistance is down to the people banding together to lend the aid they can. It's times like this that, more than ever, you should be placing faith in other people, and other people's ability to help...not god. I can't imagine prayers are a huge comfort right now.

It was a wake up call. We disregard nature, take it for granted, poison it. Then it does this, and we begin to understand.

Still my heart is sore for those lost. crying.gif

You can go ahead and say that, but in my opinion, I don't know if its Gods free will that let us do this righteousness, or it was his gift of righteousness that let us do this...or if you want, maybe it wasn't God at all, just man.

But I stick to the fact that some good came from the tsunami. Weather its God or not, the world suffered and they will grow from it original.gif .

I couldnt believe the stuff I was hearing from that place where the tsunami happened.

They actually thought it was a message, personally to them from GOD.

So does god send messages to the space aliens On venus? or mars.. when there is a dust storm, What about the lightening on jupiter? a message to some little people on jupiter.

Natural disasters are constantly happening all over the universe, The only difference is, one may not be there to experience it, So its not a disaster and its not an experience. Therefor its not really a disaster.

It was not a message from god, It was just PHYSICS

Thats very unconvincing.

Yet these natural disasters happen, we can only give a possible explanation...many of them can be doubtful, and only one will emerge as the possible one, and that is physics.

That doesn't prove that God isn't real. That only tells me 'how' it happened. It could have been a messeage from God, or it could have been not...there is no way of telling.

If there is a god, I Would like to kick his ass for being an idiot thumbsup.gif

Why would a god kill all those people for a test. that is 1 sick god. angry.gif

If you were an atheist, you wouldn't have anyone to be angered about. The only thing that can happen to an atheist is to feel sorrow at the lost lives because there is no possible way an atheist can get angry at a God, because they have absolutely no belief of an omnipotent entity. They would feel sorrow and send aid for the relief, and have no one to be angry about.

A theist would have someone to be angered about, and that is God....but if they are a theist and they believe in God, they would feel sorrow and send aid to the relief, and pray for the lost souls. They would understand that God's understandings are not for them, and be thankful to God that they weren't in Asia when it happened, but pray mercy for those who were.

So, whoa182, your post tells me you believe in a 'Sick God'....your a theist, that cool. Being a religous person who is angry at his/her God is normal....those who do understand righteousness, religous or not, wouldn't get angry at all if they did believe in a God.

Stop confusing me w00t.gif

I said if there were a god I would like to rebel against him if this is the sort of stuff you're god does...

Doesnt mean I believe he exists or anything. I value Life more because I know its the only life we get thumbsup.gif So I dont like it when people worships a god and says it was a test, because a test isnt worth 150,000 + human lives. Whatever the reason

If a God wanted people to love and worship and not fear him, it would make more sense to save people from hurt, pain, suffering then killing them on a mass scale. no.gif

I agree....Halo, what makes some of us angry isn't god...as we don't believe in god, we don't believe he could possibly be involved in this in any way, shape or form (just as we don't believe he was involved in anything...being nonexistant). Our angry comes more from our inability to understand how so many people can place unwavering faith in something, while crediting it as being responsible for an act of such outright evil.

It's at times like this that athiest and theists simply can't see eye to eye, and when athiests are likely to get offended merely by the belief in God. To us, the god you worship is a murderer, to you, some kind of...glorified...murderer. I'm not really sure how you veiw it huh.gif

You keep saying that we're incapable of understanding god's thoughts and ideas, because we don't think on his level....a kitten can't think on my level, does that make it right for me to go out and drown one?

Hmm...I don't quite think it was a test! hmm.gif I just think that He didn't see a reason to interfere with it. As I said before we'll never understand how God thinks so I wouldn't even try.

Plus you got balls man! I'd never defy God! w00t.gif

"you dont understand god and his reasons " and then sort of answeres are the biggest **** excuse to get away from this kind of argument. its lazy thinking, I think... mellow.gif

anyway, I did once believe in god, I believed in satan, the tooth fairys, santa, a talking snow man and dragons.

But Since I got out of catholic high school, my education seems to have started, I just had this NEED for knowledge, I had to pick up every book that I could find, that was interesting.

Universe

Quantum mechanics

nanotech

biotech

evolution

computers

A.I

its been around 4 years since I left high school and Education seemed to start for me after I left... lol . The more I read, the more I understood things, It opened my mind. I sort of grew out of god, as you would santa clause and other things.

I dont believe in god.

I have moral values

I am kind

I help people

I dont go killing everything I see

I respect all life including all animals

When I see people saying God killed 220,000 People for a test or a message, it confuses me, it sounds disturbing, it makes me wonder what kind of People I am living with on this planet.

Worshiping a god that kills 220,000 people is not a god ANYONE should worship, whatever the reason!, If you cannot see that... I dont know what to say =/

When people over there are trying to interpret the a natural disaster as a message from god and trying to say he done it for this reason, mabey he done it because he wants all these kind of people dead... SO lets kill all these people and help god... etc , Im sure you can think of many other things people can interpret as.

its Dangerous thinking.

Who came first

Man or God?

Man
