As kind of a follow up on SaRuMaN's "Before The Big Bang", i would like to know peoples thoughts on this. Do you believe the universe is just expanding or is it finally going to reach a point where "gravity" for a lack of a better term, is going to start pulling it back in. i have conversed with some of my prof's and they seem to think that that could happen. please, any thoughts.

Just my opinion, but I believe the universe will continue to expand. The reason I feel this way is because after about 15 billion years after the big bang, the universe is still accelerating. If it ever stops accelerating, will the mass be too far apart for gravity to pull it back in? Even taking dark matter into account, I just feel that the universe will be beyond the distance for gravity to have that much affect on it.
