YAKIMA, Wash. Federal and state officials say six underground tanks holding a brew of radioactive and toxic waste are leaking at the country's most contaminated nuclear site in south-central Washington, raising concerns about delays for emptying the aging tanks.

Very bad news for those in the Great Northwest, dependent upon the Columbia River for their water. :w00t:

It is the question of nuclear waste that makes nuclear energy, at least from fission, not worth the effort.

Anything that creates this much poison isn't worth the effort. Have to wonder about the cancer rates in the area.
