This is just another senseless murder performed by someone that had serious mental issues. No more, no less. Banning certain types of guns or video games won't help. Those are knee jerk reactions. We need better mental health programs to help these people or better facilities to lock them up in if they can't be helped.
Part of the "spiritual rebirth" is going to be better awareness and treatment of mental illness, not scorning people or increasing their suffering through ignorance of how to understand and handle it all as a society.
We like any other organism matures and we have been on that track for a while. It is simply called "progress" by others.
After the deadly Triangle Factory Fire this nation had an awakening and made safety, fire, and other regulations to protect employees. This is barely happening in India now.
Sandy Hook is going to lead to progress, if others want to call it a spiritual rebirth, no biggie, we are talking about the same thing.

Change is happening in so many parts of the world at once, while Sandy Hook will change America, and for the better, because unlike reacting in a way Bush 1 or 2 would with spending money on mass security, putting more guns into circulation, and continuing ignorance on mental illness, maybe now we will try a different route.
In either case you will receive hostile responses. Why anyone would be hostile to making the world better, well they have to answer that one themselves I have no clue...
