[Merged] Robot band has a guitarist with 78 fingers

All-robot band Compressorhead has some competition. British record label Warp Records will soon be releasing an album performed entirely by a three-piece band of Japanese robots called Z-Machines - the guitarist has 78 fingers, while the drummer rocks out with 22 arms. The band's creators teamed up with composer Squarepusher initially to simply explore creating music with the bots, but eventually they crafted an entire five track album.

Insane. Although you could get some epic shredding, these robots couldn't produce feeling through there song as human could.

Still has a drummer and a guitarist, I would love 78 fingers, and 22 Arms lol

Well when you already know its robots playing, then its easy to say that it lacks emotions because its robots. If you didnt know it was robots, you might think differently.

I wonder if it'll be like VOCALOID music. They sound really good, but most of the songs have a really creepy feeling to them...

It's completely lacking the emotional part, the soul, or whatever you want to call it, of music.

Imagine the concerts they have:

"_>we will take requests now."

"FREE BIRD!!"

"_>free_bird.exe installed."

I believe that it may take a concept of the vocaloid but lacks what makes it music being what makes it relatable
