How I Think it all Happenned

All over the world there's monuments to something or another right? Most have a similar structure nothing looks like those rocks in England. Other than that just about the rest are pyramids that are made of stone. Still with today's technology and carbon dating we still don't know how they were built. They all have some sort of astrological significance not actually related to one another. Most weren't even built at the same time. We also all know that the planet goes in cycles of hot and cold due to the tilt of earth. We know the earth is really really old. This rotation has a very important impact on earth. If you wanted to build something that could withstand volcanic eruptions, polar shifts, ice ages, or any other big change like that you'd use stone right?

So who built them and why. That's the real question. I think we did, humans that is. If your a traditional believer of one of the major religions you might not like the rest. I think with each cycle of the earth some Armageddon situation happens wipes out 99% of life there's still that 1% that lives on to procreate and evolve. Something killed all the dinosaurs the mammals took over for example. The humans that lived through it would continue to do as they always have done evolve and learn. What if These humans have become our angels and aliens. What better way to keep a population under control than with absolute fear. These early humans would be just like us except with a few thousand years ahead of us. Every time a more advanced civilization comes in contact with another less advanced civilization. The Greater of the two always conquers the lesser. You've got one group of humans us just getting on our feet and making basic tools. The other has primitive space travel and high end weaponry. What would someone do if they were worshiped as gods because of this technology. Would you teach them how to build airplanes and guns or keep them busy building huge ass monuments that take decades to build. Then after your droves of slaves are done making your mark. You keep them in line by writing a book that tells how exactly to live and giving all these rules that just completely go against our very nature.Without the catholic churches oppressive nature we would've been on the moon in the 1800's and have the secrets of the universe pretty much done by now. Now why would an organization make free thinking a crime or sin. Control. "Those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it"

OK so where are they now? Any evidence?

OH and what did they evolve from? We can't evolve twice into same beings.

A few facts here, to reinsert some sense of reality.

The age of the Earth is 4.54 billion years (4.54 × 109 years ± 1%).This age is based on evidence from radiometric age dating of meteorite material and is consistent with the ages of the oldest-known terrestrial and lunar samples. So yes "the earth is really really old".

To be honest we have a pretty good idea how Stone Henge (which I think you refer to) and all the assorted pyramids in Egypt, china, Middle and South America and the Middle East were build. Amazingly enough, they do not all have some astronomical significance. Some do, some don't. And correctly, most were not build at the same time.

A few links for your perusal :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonehenge

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramids

Yes there is a certain periodicity in ice ages. Peruse this link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age, and work from there.

Polar shifts, a personal favourite. well I suppose you mean : The cataclysmic pole shift, meaning that there have been geologically rapid shifts in the relative positions of the modern-day geographic locations of the poles and the axis of rotation of the Earth, creating calamities such as floods and tectonic events? Well, I have news for you, it is established that true polar wander has occurred at various times in the past, but at rates of 1° per million years or less, but no cataclysmic polar shift.

Geomagnetic reversal has happened, yes, but that has no influence on the fauna or flora, proof : we are still here.

For your perusal :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomagnetic_reversal

The dinosaur extinction, or Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event, was 65.5 million years ago. No humans around just yet.

Again for your perusal : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cretaceous%E2%80%93Tertiary_extinction_event

The most recent common ancestor of the Hominidae lived roughly 14 million years ago. Bit of a long time in between there.

Now the only extinction event, that could possibly have influenced an very very hypothetical mother civilisation, was the Quaternary extinction event, which was a lesser extinction event.

For your perusal : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaternary_extinction_event

Now any civilisation, that has, I quote: "primitive space travel and high end weaponry", like ourselves, would also leaves mountains of proof to such civilisation. But alas, there is none.

Now I'm going to say as I allways say, if you have any proof or evidence to the contrary, then please, show it.

Eloquently stated... The only thing I can add is that religious text was never around since beginning of the human species. I wish people would really do their research before posting.

ok i agree with the aboves, but i see where you're coming from, sorta like the stargate version of things, where those with higher technology enslaved primative humans who worshipped them as gods, who in turn kept them in thier place, and i suppose if you look really wideley you do find some 'artifacts' that seem alien in origin, however where are they now? and why leave?

It was fun reading though.

I hate to say it, but sometimes the facts really do rain on the sense of wonder we generate from a great story.

But I think a lot of us suspect there are many untold stories in history. And maybe some are stranger than we can imagine. We can't resist thinking of what may have been.

Our world is more than our history tells us.
