I've heard of an el dorado once that's somewhere in the US and it was just that there was one. Does anyone know anything about this or have any info regarding it.

also any links to Arizona info like the lost dutchmans and the gold balls the size of potatoes that Union soldiers found during the United States civil war?

Thanks in advance

El Dorado seems to be a South American thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Dorado

Probably what you heard about was the similar 'Seven Cities of Cibola': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quivira_and_C%C3%ADbola

Native testimony as to the existence of cities full of treasure is most easily explained by the natural tendency, when faced with a large band of heavily armed strangers asking "where's the gold?", to tell them it's in the next valley over fer sure.
