Druid, a Song by RPM

Druid by Ryan M.

first there was a god

and with that god a goddess

both were strong and beautiful

they both were truly flawless

they chose this little rock

this rock turned green and blue

and after years of waiting

the first few lives, they grew

and now they had some forests

and birds and trees and snakes

why not make something greater

and see what thought awakes

and so they had a person

and not much more than this

they told the person, “build this world,"

and build a state of bliss

in the tongue of the trees

I am fluent

in the inside of it

I am fluid

in the end of days

I am human

in the eyes of the people

I am a druid

after all was said and done

the god and goddess left

they left the humans all alone

to do what they do best

I see it in your eyes

I see it when you fall

when they went and made this

they made this for us all

I don’t know what to say

I don’t know what to do

if you’re sleeping, other-world

I’d like to talk to you

you've got to open up

you've got to look inside

the wind and fire flow

earth and water by your side

in the mix of the leaves

I am a student

in the depth and the dark

I am translucent

in the time I wait here

I am proven

in the eyes of the people

I am a druid

Good poem RPM, was it made into a song???

(It's a good idea to add, 'Copyright RPM' to your work here.)

I am working on an album right now and I was considering adding this to it.

Though I'm unsure... it's more of an abstract, in-your-face album and I don't know if this song would fit.

And there is a notice at the top of this board saying all creations are assumed to be the property of those that posted them.

So I think the assumed copyright works well enough.

Right on, keep up the good work. :tu:

Rule #2: Members who post their work to this section are encouraged to include a Copyright notice.

What genre is this album you're making?

I'm a big fan of hip-hop artists like Aesop Rock, Clipping, Eyedea, Atmosphere, and the like.

So it's probably going to be some sort of pseudo hip-hop.

I produce all my own music and record vocals when I can.

I've been told I'm decent by more than a few people and I know what I need to do to make my lyrics sound good.

So I want to experiment with that.

But that's not to say all of the music I make will be hip-hop. It could just be this one album.

I'm taking influence from Middle Eastern, Egyptian, Indian, and Native American music for the most part.

I want to do something different.

I'm into every genre you can probably think of other than opera for good reasons, lol. Yeah where i live the hip-hop scene is pretty big.. There's only about 50,000 population in the city I live in and there's literally hundreds of local hip-hop artists. ASAP Rocky is one of my top 5 favorites as well. Do you have any songs on YouTube?.. Because by the looks of your poem you style seems very Lyrical and that's what were missing in the hip-hop scene. Too many rappers etc rap about the same stuff. Women, Drugs, and more women and drugs. Kind of getting old :td:

I live in a city full of hiphopheads, too. Between 900k and 1.2 million people here.

Also, Aesop Rock and ASAP Rocky are two different people.

Here's a good song by Aesop Rock, you might like him:

People say that ASAP stole Aesop's name and vice versa.

But it doesn't matter. Even though Aesop's been around longer, I doubt ASAP had ever heard of him before they met.

I don't have anything posted yet, but I will let you know when I do.

If you are looking for lyrical rap, listen to Aesop Rock, Eyedea, Atmosphere, Clipping, Das Racist, Lakutis, and anyone on the Real Rhymesayers label.
