FORD:

First (in pit) on race day

Flip over read directions

Found on road dead

Driver returned on foot

F'ed over rebuilt dodge

(Having owned a 1969 F-250, it will always mean fix or repair daily to me.)

Lotus: Lots of trouble, usually serious

Fiat: Fix it again Tony

Pontiac: Poor old nig thinks it's a caddy

Jeep: Just empty every pocket

(Boat: bust out another thousand)

PONTIAC - Poor Old Negro Thinks It's A Cadillac.

Knew a Dutchman here in the U.S. who bought an old Pontiac. It was a junker, but he was enormously proud of his big, American car.

Then I pointed out what PONTIAC meant: Poor Old Nederlander Thinks It's A Cadillac.

He laughed.
