icet925 Posted January 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) http://allafrica.com/stories/200901230901.html Does Lincoln actually have black ancestry? "Even though Lincoln was officially known to be white, he reportedly had black ancestry, linking him and Obama by ancestral blood." Plainbob13 Posted January 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Can it get any sillier then this. Idea. Wait till he does something before ya compare him to Lincoln. Just a thought.
The Sweater Song Posted January 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2009 So Obama isn't the first black president after all. Oprah, Colin Powell, and all those other headless herds of sheep can go home now.
Bez Posted January 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2009 This is my problem with the country right now. All the Obama supporters said "wait till he actually does something before you judge him negatively." The second he's in office all I'm seeing is "Obama is doing this and doing that!" Yay! We must be living in Utopia!!! Cmon people. Sit back and watch the movie before you criticize it. Take your own advice.

MasterPo Posted January 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2009 So Obama isn't the first black president after all. I thought Clinton was the first black President? Acutally, credit where credit is due: Al Sharpton got it right. Probably the only time in his adult life. During the campaign when everyone was praising Obama for blazing a new trail and opening new doors for blacks, Sharpton got it right when he said Obama wasn't doing anything new but rather he was benefiting from the hard work and sacrafices of other blacks who came before him. People like MLK and to some extent Sharpton too. Obama himself never won any significant racial or civil rights fight (if he won any at all!). He isn't the first black state senator, not the first black federal senator, and not the first black Presidential candidate.
__Kratos__ Posted January 25, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Maybe it was an ancestor after Lincoln? The article doesn't really say anything but rumors. Though here's an interesting fact... Obama and Cheney are 8th cousins. Lynne Cheney: VP, Obama are eighth cousins Guess Obama is going to be walking Cheney's path to...
ninjadude Posted January 25, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Though here's an interesting fact... Obama and Cheney are 8th cousins. To non-genealogists, it may be a lol. But in fact, a great many people in the US are cousins. It's not surprising at all.

raphnix Posted January 26, 2009 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2009 What if he really have, does it makes some racists give up with their unnecessary rants? Best believe that no matter what race he have, it's his dedication that counts.

Yea, but throw Bush in there as Obamas cousin as well, and I think we are seeing a pattern.

Repoman Posted January 26, 2009 #16 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Well, Obama is certainly nudging the nation closer to a civil war. Can't wait to see what happens if he actually tries to enact his plans to steal money from the hardworking Americans that, through sheer determination and effort, are making over $80,000.00 year and give it to the crack whores and other people. Repoman Posted January 26, 2009 #18 Share Posted January 26, 2009 It must be nice to see the world so simplistically. Its quite the reverse actually. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The ability to sort through all the distractions and pull out the kernel of absolute truth from the midst of a wordy froth of BS and innuendo is a heavy burden to bear. It typically results in all sort of weasel-attacks from the ankle-biting, self-hating, bleeding-heart whinerzzzz of the world who are quite adept at mouthing dreary platitudes like "the world isn't black and white you know" yada yada yada YAWN...... Thanks so much for playing. If the longer words or the number of words scare you, I'll simplify it. Being able to clearly express the gist of an argument is not a blessing because it invites attacks from people. Is that better guy? So, which parts of the original post were "outlandish"? The adjectives? .... no, wait.... the NOUNS! It was the nouns - right? No? ummmm.... was it because I used more wordds than were technically necessary? Sheesh - help me out here...... I got it! - what made it outlandish is because you disagreed with my post! Some people........
