Cats are weird at times

My father had to dig out and remove some tree roots along the alley near our house the other day; there was a large hole left which he intends to fill in.

Well..we are all sitting on the porch having coffee when the neighbors cat walked by and notices the hole, he looks in it then walks around it, squats and poops before leaving.

It's like he figured the hole was just for him. Darn I wish I had my camera at that point...would've been funny.

The cat will probably now bring over a mouse it caught as sign of gratitude for making a toilet for its use

Heheheeh, yeah, cats are funny that way :)

Or when you are pulling fresh laundry out and folding it up a kitty just has to come by and try getting into the fresh laundry for a nap- no, I didn't just wash those clothes for you to sleep on.

One of my four cats is a princess. And every time I clean the litterboxes she has to make her mark first in them as soon as I'm done. Like I only cleaned them for her use and the other cats can just bugger off, hehe. She also has to help every time I make the bed and gets into the layers- I'm just making the bed for her comfort and she always squeaks when I put on a blanket too many for her taste.

My cat does that all the time, no joke, All The Time. My mum will be out gardening and dig a hole for a plant and out of no where the cat will come out and go in the hole. I guess he thinks, 'well shes done the hard part, i'll do the rest'. lol

And when we had a plumber out once, he had to dig up a bit of the backyard, same thing happened...

Think of it as instant fertilizer .If my cats did that,I would dig holes around all the plants I wanted to grow huge. Cat Poo is actually very good fertilizer.

When my male cat Tosca digs a hole - it's a major event. He approaches it from every side and using one paw digs a bit, checks it out, digs some more then moves around a bit and starts the whole process till he has worked his way around 360 degrees at least.

Once finished, he does the same, one paw, covers a bit, works around, covers a bit more and so on - honestly by the time he is done he is so worn out he comes in, finds a comfy spot on the sofa, curls up and sleeps for hours :w00t:
