Still Waters Posted April 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2016 The 96 Liverpool fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster were unlawfully killed, inquests have found - and police have admitted they got it "catastrophically wrong". A jury ruled that the behaviour of fans was not a factor in the tragedy, which happened when supporters were crushed before an FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on 15 April 1989. The jurors also found that errors by the police and ambulance service had "caused and contributed" to Britain's worst sporting disaster. http://news.sky.com/...lawfully-killed

Grey Area Posted April 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2016 I was a boy when it happened, but I can remember the tragedy vividly. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. I hope that they can now sleep a little easier. I wouldn't want to drag this out any further for the people involved, but deep inside I really hope that prosecutions happen against the lying corrupt officials that thought they could blame innocent people for their own incompetence.

+ouija ouija Posted April 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Hillsborough inquests: Calls for police accountability. http://www.bbc.co.uk...eyside-36145587 Of course they must be held accountable and punished for their actions/inaction at the event. They must also be punished for their attempts to cover up the truth and shift the blame.
