Sea Shepherd 2009-2010 Season

Finally! Some good news on the 2009-2010 whaling season campaign has been found. While not a completely reliable source, here's a clip from the Sea Shepherd Wikipedia page...

Operation Waltzing Matilda
In June 2009, Sea Shepherd announced their 2009-10 Antarctic campaign, called Operation Waltzing Matilda.[137] The futuristic carbon-fibre and kevlar trimaran Earthrace will be joining Sea Shepherd for this campaign, according to its owner/operator, Peter Bethune. The Earthrace will be painted black and operate as a "stealth boat".[10] Sea Shepherd says it is also considering buying a second ship to complement the Steve Irwin.[138]

Here's best wishes to the crew and good hunting!

Here's a new poster my crew and I came up with for Project:Veritas. This poster had to be redone because of typos so it may look somewhat familiar...

Here we go...I have embarked on my own personal Sea Shepherd-inspired campaign around my town, dubbed 'Operation Veritas', in the hopes of educating the people around my town of what really goes on to our precious sea creatures and what we can do to help...If you haven't already guessed, the word 'veritas' is the Latin word for 'truth' which, obviously enough, is what I hope to spread. Here is an example of propaganda I (and my associates) will be using:

Well...with operations Leviathan, Migaloo and Musashi under their belts, the 2009-20010 Campaign for Sea Shepherd has yet to be unveiled and (so far) no dates have been set. One thing is for certain, however, as stated by Captain Paul Watson, things will definitely be different in the upcoming anti-whaling campaign. Personally, I would hope that the Sea Shepherds have acquired a tool to fend off attacks from the LRAD systems applied by the Japanese whalers during Operation Musashi. But, as with most things, time will tell as the whaling season quickly approaches...

Been reading up on the history of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a group I recently joined, and was surprised at what I read. The group has used some rather interesting tactics in the past, a few that some might perceive as violent, but I am still convinced that these tactics will someday have a powerful effect on the hunting and slaughter of countless marine animals. Though I know that many are opposed to the idea of Sea Shepherd, my own mother included, I believe that progress has been made already and will stand by with the Shepherds, doing my part on land.
