All our best thoughts to his family and friends...

That sucks. I hope that it was peaceful.

I'm shocked to hear of MID's passing. I will miss him so much. What wonderful adventures we had with him as our leader and all the things he taught us. Rest well Sir.
My deepest condolences to his family and his friends, and his extended family here on UM.

  • Hey, I'm not wrong. I'm just not completely right.

I didn't even know he was sick. Read a bunch of his posts just the other day. Very, very sad. He always had an intelligent thing to talk about. So many "old timers" around here signing off.

Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

He often set me streight when I was fooled into crazy CT theories. Years ago I was convinced the moon landing was a CT and through many posts and debates he proved to me what was the truth and I will thank him always for taking the time to do so. Smart funny and cranky at time lol. He will be missed big time.

You should read through them. You'd learn a lot; anyone would.

A great person of vast intelligence, MID will be sadly missed. I'm pretty shocked by this, as I'm sure others must be.

I was very saddened to hear of this, MID contributed a great deal over the years and will be missed by many of us here on UM.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.

It was actually through MID (mainly in PM) that I learnt again how wonderful learning is....I had next to no knowledge of Space when I first joined here, and despite the fact he had a vast wealth of knowledge he talked to me like we were on the same level (a great ability to have)...i'm gonna miss his knowledge, his posts, and humour. A great man.

Condolences to all his family and friends.

MID was one of those extraordinary people that I couldnt get enough of. A friend and a "teacher" that I even talked to people about in my everyday life. We know what he was about, lets honor that by trying to follow in his footsteps.

Eternal rest and peace, my friend.
I still await the compelling Exhibit A.
