we have dreams.

dream affect us, then we forget them, there are few dreams we remember.

The reason for this, we dont know... then you have the dreams that

haunt your concious and even your subconcious for the rest of your life.

These dreams have similarities to other dreams that seem to have a "purpose",

including dreams that foretell future events... one of which being the fact

that they stay in the memory for an unusually lenghty amount of time.

As anyone will tell you, however, the main problem with dreams is it

is incredibly difficult to distinguish where they end, ESPECIALLY if you

choose to forget them and continue with your life.

So why infact is there some types of dream that for some reason, stick

around in your head and at the time (assuming they operate around time)

seem real.

Even the previous sentence falls far short of describing the impact of what

i like to called "really confusin dreams that you know are real" and before

any smart out there point out that all dreams are real until

you awaken... i wish to illustrate a little matter-

as mentioned, upon decided to "forget" a dream, it will eventually lose

the effect it once had and through time, it will be erased.

So why is there rare dreams, that never seem to have any purpose or any apparent reason to effect you in such a intense, strongly memorable way...

that stick around for as long as you do.

is there a purpose that we find out in the "end" or when we need to and if so,

what the is the point in that ???

my interest in this matter stems from a childhood memory, from easily 10-15

years ago, which currently, is the dream i remember in full clearness...

if not the only dream i have ever remembered (for longer than is natural).

i remember awakening from my bed and feeling no different to normal BUT

something drew me to the window.

Upon looking out the window i glanced over to the garden of a childhood friend Mark and what i saw has never faded in my memory or seemed any less real

then it did as it "happened".

I saw a large, dark black creature (demon i assume) stood/crouched like

a frog in the back garden.

The nearest thing i can think of that has ever resembled it in anyway

was the "keymaster" dog demons in ghostbusters 1 (the big black b******* with

red eyes).

Then i lost vision of it, not because it moved, simply because i just "wasnt looking at it anymore" ... (i suspect i was probably ****ting myself).

The reason i suspect this dream is etched in my memory is because i knew it was real then (like all dreams) and i still do now, 10-15 years on (not normal with dreams).

I still remember all the details completely clearly, but as with all memorys it

is impossible to tell if it was in fact real, because... as with all good

mysteries-

A- i was on my own

B- i was damn young

C- the course of time had erased any memory i had of

when it happened or any points that would indeed give me an answer.

so this is why im hear, to hear any similar stories... and mabye get some answers.

I sorta understand what you're talking about. I have a memory that goes back almost 30yrs that was and is still to real to be a dream, but not what the average person would consider real/ normal.

I really never remembered dreams like that. The only dream that actually came true was about four years ago and that had to do with my job at the time. Still you dream sounds to me like a haunting. What was that icon thingy? Maybe you should clarify this dream of yours for us?

due to the 10 yr gap its hard to remember more than ive sed, sayin that i am

pretty damn psychic so maby thinking about it will reveal summit new.

It may of been the Demon of Neighbours Gardens, Gardininuous Grass,showing himself to you to warn you of a terrible accident involving the mower.

Or coulda been a smudge!

I know what you mean though dude I have memorys of small imp like creatures running about in my back garden,they looked like the little ugly imp aliens in that film Communion.I guess it must of been like an awake dream in the over active imagination of my small brain!

Hmm may if you try explain everything bit more clearly we will be able to help you better. I believe what you experience was you have a dream that you got so into and by the time you woke up your brain was still basically dreaming and your eyes was tired. As you look out of the window into light your vision was still blurry and your brain was still thinking about the dream and you just saw something that you were dreaming about.

BTW what is up with the download? If you say that you find this symbol somewhere or you keep make things even more vague, please do us a favor get off this forum and go to Hollywood because it is so easy to pick apart between make up and real stories.

story i experienced... not to cause any problems.

Sounds like it could have been a waking nightmare. You're not fully awake, yet your not totally asleep. I think the dream world is another world that ones soul goes to when we are sleeping, because during the actual dreaming they say that the heart stops, and in a sense we are dead. To us it can seem like minutes, days, or sometimes even weeks can pass in our dreams. Maybe that's where people go when they die, and some how we inadvertently bond with the supernatural during our dreams, and bring them back with us. Yeah, I know sounds like "Nightmare On Elm Street". I've had several dreams in which good old Freddy was chasing me. I have a writers imagination though.

Wow..... Uh, given that you've only made a few posts here, let me point something out to you: CALM DOWN! You're going to make enemies in life if you jump all over their responces. Not everyone will believe what you believe. Trust me. Everyone has a varied set of views and opinions....You act like you know what UM is about.... and yet, if you truly understood how many people on this site interact, you would know that we don't always agree. One person's truth is another person's hallucination. We have skeptics and believers and people who don't know exactly what to believe or think. You have to learn to agree to disagree or you'll get no where.

I understand your fealings and believe you because I have had the same experience. Unfortunately I can't help you find an answer because I can't find the answer to my own dreams. I, however, have a continuing flow of dreams. One dream seems to lead into the other, the problem is that these dreams are at random times. Sometimes I will have one dream right after another and other times I will go 2 to 3 months before I have another dream. These dreams are always recognizable and I have a sense of urgency for a few days after I have them.

I can tell you of a dream I had when I was about four years old.I woke got up from my bed walked down the hall and opened the door to the living room(lounge)It was full of strangers.i remember agirl walking past me with her arms outstretched her eyes staring straight ahead.Why ? I do not know.

Anyway I wake up (for real )? run down the hall open the door I thought the room would be full of people.

All I saw was my mom and dad sitting by the fire.

Here is the strange part

I thought they must be the ones who will look after me.
