Obama's Mother/Grandmother at 2008 Election?

I pretty vividly remember a hefty, white lady that had me under the impression as being Obama's mother, or some other family member showing up during the 2008 election. My roommate and myself both have the exact same person in our minds and realized we havent heard anything since 2008.

We started to do some research looking for her and can't find one thing of her. His grandmother did die on November 2, 2008 right before the election, but this lady was not that old. His grandma was 86 years - born in 1922. I have not found anything about this lady who I specifically remember seeing often, and was perceived by me as his mother. I actually payed attention to this election and never saw her, even once.

Anyone know who I am talking about? Anyone have a story about her she went? Something seems a little weird, but maybe I missed something.

You mean the inaguration, not the election? Anyways, have you just awoken from a coma? You state this as if you've either just realized this or it happened a week ago. It's been over four years. Have you tried youtubing what you're looking for? I thought his mom was dead and the picture I remember seeing of her, she was thin IIRC. Doesn't mean she couldn't have gotten fat. Why would one lady in the crowd stand out to you and why would you think it's his mom? Was she on the stage or what? What's the deal???

The weird thing is that I specifically remember them showing this lady often, and I was under the impression it was his mom. I am just trying to figure out who this lady was and why she wasnt in this election campaign. I have searched the internet and have not been able to find anything of this woman. I'm wondering if the info is being censored or not.

The president's mother died in the 1990s. He was raised by her parents. His grandparents also passed away. I think it was his maternal grandmother you must be talking about, though she passed away right before his first election. Did she go to any of his election rallies? I doubt very much if his grandmother was alive she would be censored for any reason.
