A giant isopod at the Toba aquarium in Mie prefecture , Japan ,has been on a hunger strike for 4 years.
No one knows why .
The aquarium has played with temperature ,to coax it into eating .
It rubs its face in food,but doesn't ingest any .
It hasn't eaten since 2009
Staff is quite frustrated .

Personally ,I think its protesting Abe in office .... ,or just AKB48 in general

Maybe the little feller is grieving and that is why he won't eat? There are many reasons as to why he isn't eating, but if I was living in captivity in a strange environment and not used to it, I would grieve and just be too sad to eat.

Or maybe he is lonely and wants a companion.

They do love their marine life,but ummm,they also slaughter it for no good reason . If animal agencies allow whaling and the dolphin slaughters in Taiji ,this is just one poor pill bug. No one will care.
