If God has no cause and has always been, why not the same for Existence? In these terms, which is more rational?

It seems to me more efficient for Existence to be like this than some God with his own complex  human-like personality, motives, desires, etc.

And why only the Christian version of God? This God is one of many believed in throughout the world. It's the believer who chooses his/her God, and we all know easily it is to believe in the standard model of one's particular society.
