A lot of times we forget to just stop and take a breath, to appreciate art as it is. So here is moving art done right. A beautiful construct of pacing, environment and emotion.

It is my belief that this one stands up to time, but, you judge it for what it is. Zatoichi the Blind Swordsmen in 1968;

And I tried to find a youtube vid of The Seventh Seal chess scene iii, where the knight confronts Death in a game of chess in the most poetically profound series of images that play on light and emotion amplifying the sacrifice of the old for the young. And yet. Nothing. But find the movie and watch it, The Seventh Seal.

I think this is art, as well, as the King doubts himself, and wonders if he could have done differently in the past to avoid war.
