Still Waters Posted July 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2014 A TSA agent blamed for letting one man carrying a loaded handgun and another with a flip knife board Phoenix-to-London flights on the same day last month is out of a job, FoxNews.com has learned. Both passengers flew the more than 10 hour flights to London with the weapons in their carry-on bags, sources told FoxNews.com. Neither passenger tried to use the weapons while aboard the flights, though the shocking security lapse raises obvious questions about whether passengers with bad intentions might slip through security. Both weapons were found by security officials at London's Heathrow Airport as they attempted to transfer onto connecting flights. http://www.foxnews.c...e-london-bound/
Shayde Posted July 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Oh dearie me... So, on information received via the intelligence services, the TSA makes demand on airports outside the US to enhance all their checks, thus defeating any sort of trouble flying into the US. Just how it should be done. But it only takes one halfwit in the US to show that they make one flaming and frankly obvious c***-up and they let one with a knife - which is bad enough - through, but another with a gun?!! Sorry, but whose side is the TSA on?!!!
Lilly Posted July 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2014 This is because the TSA is too busy shaking down disabled grandmothers in wheel chairs....and of course they aren't allowed to 'profile' anyone in their searches. No, I'm not kidding.

Lilly Posted July 12, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 12, 2014 We need to face reality, the TSA in its current form is an abject failure. From the harassment of people that are obviously no threat to the overlooking of people that are obviously dangerous (armed with a loaded gun no less), the TSA sucks at protecting the flying public. The TSA needs to be scrapped and completely restructured. Agents need to be properly trained and professional security people brought in to do this training. Just having a bunch of bubbas flush with power and giggling at body scanners isn't going to keep us safe.
