I saw this on Facebook yesterday. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't. Knowing that there are that many uninformed people out there, that really don't care, worries me.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

So I asked 15 people here at work the same question. Three of them knew what the sequester was. Sad state of affaris, but at least now I know why we keep electing the same idiots over and over again.
" Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything —you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him" - Robert Heinlein

I feel like I just watched an episode of scare tactics. White House reopens tours for school children. Took em 4 days to scare us with that load of crap.

Ask the same people about the 49ers game or the Bulls game, or who is winning on Dancing with the Stars and you'll get quick answers. Politics, National Finance and Science are not flash enough usually to make it into the public contiousness. Just celebrities and entertainment are what people know about.
Here at Intel we make processors on 12 inch wafers. And, the individual processors on the wafers are called die. And, I am employed to check these die. That is why I am the DieChecker.

I can't believe people are this stupid...

"The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits." - Albert Einstein
At times I almost dream I too have spent a life the sages' way, And tread once more familiar paths. Perchance I perished in an arrogant self-reliance Ages ago; and in that act, a prayer For one more chance went up so earnest, so Instinct with better light let in by death, That life was blotted out—not so completely But scattered wrecks enough of it remain, Dim memories, as now, when once more seems The goal in sight again. --- "The Field Where I Died", Robert Browning's Paracelsus

Yea normaly this would be funny. Yet I couldnt even find a way to crack a smile. This country is litteraly doomed cause of complete and total willful ignorance. Makes me think that its a total waste of time concerning ourselfs with politics at all. If you are a dem chances are you will go along with what ever they are preaching, even if you dont have the slightest idea what you are talking about. And its the same exact story for most republicans.
Some things are true, even if you dont believe them.
