Arpee Posted November 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2011 People usually say "follow the happiness because it's who you truly are", if that's the case, do you believe it is possible to be happy all the time? Peaceful? Loving?
Mr_Snstr Posted November 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) *not forum stalking you, promise. Can't sleep and I find your questions interesting. All depends on your brand of thinking really. Some would say peace, love, and happiness are all states of mind. In that case all three would be achievable and maintainable. Others would say they are absolute ideals. Things that can be striven toward but can never truly achieved. While others would say that they are merely outcomes. Determined by infinite variables out of your direct control. That it's possible but not up to you. While still, there are those that say they are all three of those things, and yet, none of those things. That they are what you make of them. SlimJim22 Posted November 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2011 I don't see happiness or peace as being the end result but rather a state of mind that makes the journey of life much easier. http://www.happinessofbeing.com/ When we peel everything else away we are at peace and return to the natural state which is happiness and harmonious because we are in the flow. It is through attachments and expectations that we make ourselves unhappy but when we reflect on our perceptions and desires we can realize that happiness is not the goal but the state of being.
