I Think I'm Done

im wrong. I admit it. I've spent alot of time sharing knowledge that I thought was really interesting. Turns out I'm looking for things in my faith in the wrong manner. Although I do feel that the evidence leads towards creationism, its not enough to absolutely prove that god exists. just like you cant prove that he doesnt. I think technically what ive been doing goes against what im supposed to be doing as a christian. I suppose that if God hasnt made himself known to the world yet, its for a reason. this isnt an admission of being wrong, but alot of people on here have told me that you cant prove that god exists, (not yet anyways). thats true. i can swallow my pride and admit it. i guess maybe i thought i was doing something good. i know that if i didnt know alot of things and someone on here shared things with me I would be grateful. Maybe i took things too personal. i never meant to make anyone mad or anything, but my intentions were never anything more than the sharing of knowledge and exploration of our world. ive met alot of really cool people on here. thanks to all. i guess this just isnt the way to explore my faith, so im off to explore other avenues. maybe ill check in and stuff. later dudes

God bless you all.

I think it's cool that you have the courage to admit that you've changed your view. A lot of people would rather suffocate than admit that. Good on you. Unless we have the courage to change and grow, we'll remain locked in our little mental cages forever...

I wish you all the best on your journey

Take care,

SeaMare

Don't feel bad. The lack of a "proof" of God has more to do with proof than it does with God. The system of logic is provably incomplete (Goedel's Theorem), thus there exists truth that is not accessible to reason.

King, I'm glad you've realized that it is impossible to share the proof we have of God's existence. Our knowledge and certainty of Him is based on PERSONAL interaction with Him, and He proves Himself to each of us individually. I hope this does not mean you will stop sharing here in UM.
