climate change deniers are 'headless chickens

questionmark

Recommended Posts

Prince Charles has criticised climate change deniers, describing them as the "headless chicken brigade" during an awards ceremony recognising a leading young green entrepreneur.

Charles, who has campaigned for years to reduce global warming, also spoke out against "the barrage of sheer intimidation" from powerful anti-climate change groups during the event held at Buckingham Palace last night.

He presented Gamal Albinsaid with the inaugural Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize, designed to inspire young people around the world to tackle environmental, social and health issues.

How can there be deniers when there is nothing yet to deny?

as for Prince Charles he was playing to the gallery, look at his audience, the 'Greens' wouldnt have went down well if he'd said different. vested interest aswell. how much land does he own and how many wind turbines does he have on his land including offshore. subsidised by Government. a nice little earner. now and in the future, because as each year passes people clamour to reduce the Royal household budget, it doesn't take two brain cells to know in the future the Royal family will have to generate greater amounts of their own income. Prince Charles is no fool.

I think that what most deniers are denying is not that the climate is changing, as it has always done throught the history of the planet, what's being denied is that humans are the primary driving force behind climate change.

Prince charles is right up there with al gore as far as people whos opinion I care not one whit about goes.

The climate has been changes through out history, the problem today is man is building where he should not be.

You can not blame the rain for flooding in areas which have been being concreted over for years.

Respect that nature does change and do not build on areas which should be built on.

While some* might say that some of the loudest and most vociferous in the Climate change industry are like Chicken Licken, who you may remember ran around shouting "the sky is falling in! the Sky is falling in".

* not necessarily saying that I do, of course :innocent:

Indeed, this story was in our local Paper just today.. http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/10977218.Winfrith_Newburgh_nursery_boss_hits_out_after_business_is_flooded_for_seventh_time_in_two_years/?ref=var_0

As was remarked, perhaps he ought to have cottoned on by now that that may perhaps be an area that's rather prone to flooding .. :innocent:

haha, loving this bit:

A BUSINESS owner whose venture has been swamped with water seven times in the last two years has criticised action by the authorities to alleviate flooding.

What does he want them to do? stop it raining. There is only so much which can be done, but if you have the property developers concreting one side and the land naturally eroding onto the sea on the other, its best to call it a day and move.
