The marine is using sonar to hunt for mermaids ! And somehow those wales are always around mermaids !

I've heard that the sonar can burst their eardrums. Those are some really powerful sound waves, if they can do that.

It would not surprise me at all that military sonar affects some marine life.

I see no reason how it COULD NOT !
