The great debate (if you are a republican) was almost a week ago and is, or should be. old news by now, especially with the election less than a month away but it isn't.  Why?  Why is the left leaning media still flogging this thing over and over again, working overtime to come up with a reason for Obama's performance?

We on the right, while surprised at just how really bad he did, were not surprised Obama performed poorly.  Afterall, we have known the guy is a woefully inexperienced empty suit since he came on the stage and it didn't take us too long to realize that he is incapable of speaking extempor.  that he is a thin-skinned narcissist who sneers like a petulant teenager when confronted with anyone who disagrees with him and goes into a pouting huff when criticized.  All things we saw on display last wednesday so no surprise here, move on to the next crisis because there are miles to go still.

The left, however, were and are stunned!   We folks on the right are scratching our heads and wondering why?  We thought that the talking heads on the left realized all of the above long ago but couldn't let Obama fail because he was their guy.  They had put him into office by building him into a mythological figure and by God they weren't going to let him fall but I am starting to realize this isn't true and that you guys and gals on the left actually believe the drivel you've been dishing about Obama for the last four years.  You actually think this guy is a super-intellect, a gifted leader and great orator whose only problem is trying to dumb things down for the little minds that are listening to him.

Could the above be true?  Did you folks on the left really beleive Obama was the wonder-being he has been made out to be?  If not, why were you so thunderstruck when he reacted as he did when confronted about his poor record in office?

I disagree, there is a whole lot going on in the country, on the various campaign trails and in the world.  This was a debate and should, based on history, have faded out, not still be a leading topic.Are you an Obama fan?  if so were you taken completely by surprise at his performance?

That's another good point.  By keeping the thing going they just remind people how badly the guy perfformed.  Now most people will admit that, say MSNBC is pushing for an Obama win yet they are the worst offenders with this.   Why are they doing it?  I think they are trying to reassure their viewers , who are fellow travelers, that the whole thing was an anomaly so no need to worry, Obama will get him the next time.  The thing is, this wasn't an anomaly, this was the real Obama so do they really believe the myth they, themselves, have created?

This is getting really funny, and fun.  The Obama gang is now claiming that Romney "lied" and they are mad that Obama allowed the "lies" to go unchallenged.  It has taken a week now for the "drive by" liberal media to "disprove" every word Romney uttered in the debate.  Obama was an empty chair so Romney won only on "lies".

Notice how Obama has approved the use of "ObamaCare" instead of "the Affordable Care Act"?  Obama decided a long time ago to take full responsibility for ObamaCare and he will be the only one to fall on his sword when it is finally repealed.  Thank God we will have a Republican Senate as well as the House and President.

Well Romney was throwing around a lot of crap and people are mad that Obama didn't nail him to the wall for it. So not really funny but rather reality.

As for the Obamacare I think he just gave up trying to correct Republics about the proper name for it and is using what the public is familiar with. Just means more people will know what he's talking about.

Maybe it's still a top story because "both sides" are milking it for their own gains?  The Repubs (whom I honestly think were shocked at how well Romney carried himself) are saying "see we told you our guy was good!" and the Dems are saying "See we told you he was a liar!"...

I don't think the left is using it to point out how poorly Obama did and I don't think the Repubs are keeping it alive so the fact checkers can dig deeper.  They are trying to "spin" it like they always do.

Personally...if you just disregard all the background and just focus on who carried the night...I think it was Robo...hands down.  

What I am most puzzled with is this...

The man did an about face on several issues he used to win the primaries.  Now if I was a staunch right wing supporter, I'd be a little pissed if not at least concerned.  On the surface, it appears as if his campaigner that did the "etch a sketch" interview was dead on...and that REALLY should bother "EVERYONE!"  If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything...

Oh wait...that's one of us hillbillies anthem songs...

Absolutely.  Obamacare is a good thing.  Owning the moniker is a good way to diffuse the negativity with it.

For me, Supervike, I respectfully disagree.  I do not think Obamacare is a good thing.  I think it is an intrusion by the Gov...an overreach of power and authority.  I do not agree with being told that I have to purchase a private industry product...period.  If Obama wanted healthcare for everyone, then he should have went with a single payer system...aka...socialized medicine.  It's really that simple.  From my perspective, this is cronyism at it's finest.  We are told we "HAVE" to buy a product or be penalized.  That product is health insurance which is backed up by the security exchange.  I cannot understand why anyone would not be upset about this.  They are saying "you have to make sure this private industry and their backers (aka...Wall Street) succeeds.

What's next?  Mandatory internet?  They are already giving cell phones away (which I think is a method to monitor and track everyone...my own personal conspiracy theory).

I disagree with the Gov telling me or anyone they have to buy anything.  it's enough they tell us we have to pay taxes...I think that is enough.

(in b 4 "but the phone thing has been around for years")..yes I know but the "old" system didn't have hackable software and GPS locators in them.

I think the reason the debate is still in the headlines is because:

1.  it was the biggest  win in modern political debates, ( dems were 49%/39% for Romney)

2.  afterward, the right libeled Romney "a Liar" ( considered a new low by most media commentaries)

Personally I can't wait for the debate on foreign policy  ( a subject Obama will have a hard time defending with his present record)

Aw come on man, you were sucked in 4 years ago, don't let them railroad you again.  Romney isn't perfect, no one is, but Obama surely isn't the man you were led to believe is he?  The next debate will be just as bad because he is what he is and his record is indefensible.

A week? Fact checkers showed very quickly that both men lied and exaggerated quite a bit during that debate. Romney's bump in the polls just shows that people like an aggressive liar more than a passive one. It also shows that conservatives only pay attention to flip flopping when a liberal does it. I think it's comical that either side uses the term "Obamacare" since it's most high profile and controversial feature, the individual mandate, came straight from a conservative think tank. You can find articles about that in socialist propaganda rags like Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

The answer in my eyes, because many people expected Romney to be a worse debater and for Obama to shine. (Or you could say, they were expecting him to be the master debater -ba-dum-tsh-)

Wow, what a sore little loser.  LMFAO.  BTW, Romney asked Obama if "Obamacare" was an acceptable phrase and your guy said "Yes, I actually like it." in a very ostentatious way and I find it very funny that his mindless minions (that would be you, Mysticwhatever) are insulted by it.  The dear leader has declared Obamacare an acceptable phrase and those that deny it shall be executed
